“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it” (Marilyn Monroe). There are many different ways that beauty can be explained. Beauty is not always what people think it may be especially when it has many different meanings. Beauty can be a person place or thing. What people considers beautiful may not be beautiful to another. Beauty is not only something that pleases the eyes, but also pleases the other senses and the mind. True beauty makes you see beyond the pretty sights. It will give you insight or understanding of something amazing beyond just the outer appearance. Beauty is confidence and having a beautiful personality. There are two types of beauty, Inner Beauty and Outer Beauty. What we find beautiful, is a reflection of our …show more content…
When problems happen in our lives to many people think that changing our inner appearance will resolve everything. To often people are judged by what they wear and look like. People are losing sight of what is important in life and are too caught up in how to be flawless and beautiful. We as a culture are made to believe that looking beautiful is more important than anything else. The pressure from society can force us to look perfect which is unrealistic and impossible. Instead of just being worried with their physical appearance, people must take the time and energy to improve their morals and values. We live in a world where we are judged by images of what we should look like and what we fail to look like, it is worse than ever. People are simple minded they quickly judge someone depending on instincts, but that’s the first stage of judging. Some people depend on outer looks while others go deeper to inner looks which is much more to talk with them. Everyone only sees you as a forecast of what you see every day. You are beautiful if you believe in yourself. You’re attractive if you feel attractive. There’s a whole world waiting for the beautiful you. If you feel like there’s a flaw holding the beautiful you back, learn to overcome it. You can call it what you want, inner beauty, or outer beauty. Beauty is what you wake up and see in the mirror. “Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art”
Beauty is constantly changing to fit every person, every situation, every possible rendition that could ever be thought of. Yes, the girl with legs that go for miles is a pleasant thing to look at, but once she opens her mouth her face seems less important. How is that beauty if she brings nothing but ugly into the world? No one considers the so called "loner" at the back of the classroom, who at best would be rated a four, beautiful, though every night they are up talking their friend out of suicide because the blonde told them they are meaningless. Building others up while you feel like you are falling, is beautiful. Lipstick and eyeliner is not
Beauty is everywhere, and beauty is within. Being beautiful is not about everything on the outside, such as, looks, dress, and style, as much as it is inside of someone. Internal beauty stands out among the ugliest of external beauty, it defines ones character, and it also shows off true personality.
Beauty is based solely on perception. Everyone has their own version of what they find beautiful. With current media, beauty is portrayed as very particular characteristics such as weight and height. With that being said, many people believe that beauty describes a person’s physical appearance. When asked “What is beauty?”, people respond with a hot new celebrity or someone they wish to be. According to Webster’s Dictionary beauty is defined by a combination of qualities present in a person or thing that brings satisfaction. True beauty is a mixture of physical attributes along with character. Beauty is confidence, as the natural, strong, powerful person, one has grown to be.
There are many definitions of the term beauty, but in a constantly changing world it is impossible to find the correct definition. One of the most famous quotes says: that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Therefore, the beholder can set the focus on inner or outer beauty. While defining beauty, three aspects are important for me; well-groomed appearance, intelligence, and humor. Many people claim that the appearance does not matter, but in fact everybody knows that it is a lie. The view of beauty is not universal. Everybody, male or female, is free to make up their own definition of beauty.
Beauty in people can be seen as inner or outer beauty. Outer beauty is a person’s physical appearance. A characteristic that can define the person as beautiful. Many times we refer to facial beauty, as in eyes, teeth, hair, nose, and smile. A generic example as to way a person would get a compliment on beautiful eyes would most likely be because of the color, shape
What is beauty? Is there really only one way to be considered beautiful? All around the world different countries have different standards when it comes to beauty and what looks good. Something that is considered beautiful in one country might be considered ugly in another country. Some countries will let men and women go to the extreme to try to be considered attractive by their country’s standards.
Beauty is something that everyone has different opinions of. Different people would have different view of beauty. It’s something that people in the body/physical world can’t decided on or comprehend. Beauty is also something that the physical body will never truly be able to know, because to know beauty we have to sense it with our five senses. Our five senses though are not perfect. Therefore even if we ever find true beauty we many not be able to see it for what it is, because of our flawed senses. The only way we could ever find this true beauty would to be removed from our body. In the physical world there also can’t be perfect beauty, because no matter what there will always be some flaw in it. The object may not have a perfectly straight line, or it could be faulted in some other
There has always been an inaccurate definition in our society as to what “beauty” is. When we think of what beauty is, we as a society tend to think of a slim, tan, flawless woman, similar to celebrities like Megan fox, one might say. However, do we know the true definition behind the word “beauty”? The definition of “beauty” is: “the quality or aggregate of qualities
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Its what they usually say, but it is not always the case. Yes, the qualities that makes a person appear beautiful might differ with how people perceive it. But, to our little knowledge, things that is usually considered as gorgeous has a science backing up behind it. The concept of what looks good has a connection with symmetry.
Everyone sees Beauty differently. For me Beauty is in so many things, mostly nature. I am amazed by what nature created. Also faces, Human beings, animals, prints on animals, and that there is not a second one like you.
Defining what makes something beautiful is a huge endeavor. Philosophers have argued for centuries over the simple question, “What is beauty?” This is a question that is probably unanswerable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and based on personal experiences and varies from person to person; it is subjective. We call a variety of things “beautiful”: a landscape; various nonhuman animals; a young woman; a painting; a symphony. We may even say that an action, such as a gazelle leaping across a field or a well-executed sports play, is beautiful. Even if we cannot define exactly what beauty is as a quality in something or a quality within the beholder, everyone somehow believes that some things are beautiful in some way.
Our society is obsessed with looks. Ever since I was little, people have offered me advice on how I can improve my appearance. I have always had naturally curly hair, but I have never liked it. One girl told me my hair looked like ramen noodles, (which I did find a little bit funny,) and the first time I straightened my hair, about a dozen classmates told me my hair looked better that way. I consistently woke up early to damage and straighten my hair to try to improve my appearance and make me seem more attractive. Once in middle school, a boy told me I looked better with my glasses on, because they covered up most of my face, so I refused to get contacts. Over the years, I have changed my appearance based on what others told me what was attractive, and it completely damaged my self-esteem growing up. A close family member of mine was mocked by her classmates in elementary school because she had leftover baby fat, causing her to exercise excessively and eventually develop an eating disorder. She has mostly recovered, but will still ask me if she’s fat and will suck in her stomach in front of a mirror whenever she passes by one. It’s painful to watch, and it’s saddening to know that thousands of teenagers experience this kind of self-hate because society has told them that they do not fit the standards of being attractive. People are obviously going to great lengths to “improve” their outward appearance and become attractive in some way, but why?
Beauty is an obtuse concept, due to subjectivity. It is a subject that has no clear maximum or minimum. “Why is this” is the question that haunts us when we embark on deep intellectual conversation. Well, Plato’s cliché line “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” always rings true in our minds. Cliché’s only reach this status due to the fact they have some sort of intrinsic truth to them and Plato’s line is no exception. However, more must be added to the concept of beauty in order for us to categorize things of beauty. It has to be broke in to unearned beauty and earned beauty. These two sub-categorize help us better understand hierarchy of beautiful things as the beholder decides.
The world has created a definition for beautiful based on everything that is tangible. For example, through social media we see that beauty is based on facial features, symmetry, height, weight, hair, make-up, clothes, muscles, and apparent talents. It
Beauty is defined as a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses. Especially the sight. Throughout the ages, humans have created their ideals on what makes a person beautiful. There are many different opinions of what makes a person beautiful. The primary contributing factor in conflicting definitions of beauty is culture. Culture affects everything around us from what we eat to what music we listen to, and beauty is no exception. What one culture finds beautiful another might disagree. However, what we all can agree on is the universal desire to be beautiful.
