Everyone has distinct viewpoints of happiness. It is subjective. Happiness for a lot people is a form of something a person does that makes them comfortable or something they really appreciate doing. Some people say happiness is hanging out with their loved ones. Others say happiness is when they distance themselves from everyone to do their own thing in their own world. Since people have an alternate viewpoint of happiness, the definition isn't particular and the meanings are diverse.
Materialistic things are a big misunderstanding of happiness. Society believes having a lot of money can buy happiness because they can purchase whatever they so desire. For a few people materialistic things bring a misguided feeling of happiness

Happiness is something that all people, no matter what race, gender, or social class, strive for. Based on lifestyle or perspective each person has their independent idea of what happiness is, but everyone shares an end goal to live their definition of a happy life. Many people, though, struggle in finding their way to this goal. They face hardships and challenges that test their happiness every day. I feel that happiness is something that is unique to each person. What fills me with inner joy might not for others and vice versa.
