Definition Essay: The United States Army Is My Hero

What is a hero? A hero can be defined as many things to military people, first responders or simply just casual civilians walking about the streets it all comes to one thing. Three traits i think hero's have are people that are willing to stand up for others natural born leaders and brave people.all of these make a great hero that can be hidden inside of everybody weather they know it or not they could be a hero just waiting to see something then spring into action and release hero traits truthfully everybody can be a hero.

I believe that a hero is someone who never gives up, is selfless, always stays positive, and remains hopeful in the hardest of times to be hopeful in. They are kind to all they meet, no matter the person. They are brave when things get a little scary. They are willing to sacrifice whatever they have to make sure the job gets done, and they have confidence in doing it. They are role models in every aspect, and anybody who knows them would strive to be like them in any way possible.

To me a hero is someone who is nice, kind, caring, open minded, confident, not afraid to help others and not a quitter.

A hero is someone who gave up his or her life so others could live. When people think of heroes, they think of Superman, Spider-Man or other super heroes but not all heroes are fiction.The army is an example of a hero. They serve and fight for their country and peoples freedom. Other heroes can be history heroes, such as Martin Luther King Jr., who was a leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.

The definition of a hero is someone who risks their lives to save someone who they know or don’t know.And knowing they would die but going anyways.

Heroes are defined differently depending on who you are asking. Heroes are based on backgrounds, families, perspectives, and so much more. Based on what I have witnessed and been through, I believe a hero is someone who positively makes a difference in the lives of others through their actions and experiences. Heroes are supposed to make us feel safer and are supposed to make us feel better about ourselves. A hero is supposed to overcome difficult situations and help everyone believe that anything is possible. Bo Meagher is my hero of Scott County. Bo is someone who has overcome obstacles and cancer, when he couldn’t do much about his condition.

The definition of a hero is someone that has distinct qualities like courage. Someone that is admired for his or her brave actions and sacrifices. Someone who puts the wants and needs of others before his or her own. The definition of a hero for me is my father, Charles Edward Johnson Jr. He often has much on his plate, but still finds a way to be a true father to my brother and me. My dad demonstrates all the qualities of a hero and then some.

Being a hero is someone who makes a sacrifice to better others. They are not a famous athlete or musician. My version of a hero spends twelve months at a time away from their families. They experience physical and mental trauma. Heroes risk their life for their country. Heroes are men and women in the United States military.

According to dictionary.com, a hero is a person noted for courageous acts or nobility of character. This definition is absolutely true. Anyone can be a hero due to the fact that all it takes is standing up for someone, being there when someone needs you, or as extreme as saving one's life. Regardless of the situation, one should always be a hero to themselves.

There is no true definition of a hero, but mine is if someone goes out of their way to help people succeed at their goals. For me this person is Seth Harms. He helps where help is needed, and teaches to his best ability every day. During each day he is exposed to extremely hazardous conditions that can kill,(U.S. Department of Labor) but he does it anyway and that is a true hero.

What really is a hero? Someone with powers? Someone who saves peoples lives? Well, there is a easy answer to this question.When someone helps another, not for reward, just to help them, they are a hero. Anyone can be a hero, but some people are born that way. Anything you do that helps another person can be heroic. Heros are people who show leadership, follow their dreams, and are fearless.

I think that a hero is a person who would spend time helping or saving people who need help. The traits of a hero should be Happiness (Joy), Bravery, Courage , Curious (To walk into the unknown), Anyone can be a hero in their own way.

When I think of a hero, I picture someone who is unselfish. This person could be a surgeon that saves lives, or maybe just your best friend telling you not to give up when you feel like you failed. That person makes you feel cared for. A hero is someone who helps others, and is there for you when you need it most.

For me a hero is someone who touches our lives in a personal way and does not do it for themselves.
