Definition Essay: What Does Friendship Means

What defines a friendship? I believe friendship has no definition. Through my fifteen years on this earth I have developed an understanding of how friendship works, but I don’t feel there is a perfect definition for what it means to be a friend. Out of all the friendships I have had I cannot say there is a single one the same. Friends are often described as people one can relate to, but I have found I don’t have to relate to someone to form a friendship. For example, I enjoy becoming friends with people from different walks of life. These friends help expand my knowledge. and reading the temperature on time could’ve been a difficulty. Another error could be not making the experiment a fair test by stirring or knocking over the beaker. Recording the temperature incorrectly could be an error due to this experiment because as the temperature increases, the red line can sometimes be in between a number and a number so the number has to be rounded off which isn’t very accurate. Using a stopwatch to time each minute that passed could’ve been a difficulty because when reading the temperatures, it can take a while to round off the nearest temperature and therefore, time has already passed a minute. In other words, when the time shows a minute, reading can already take up to a minute and ten seconds. Stirring the beaker of the melted ice could’ve been an error because to do this, it makes the experiment unfair because you have changed the temperature and making the ice melt faster. Knocking over the beaker could’ve also been an error because accidents happen when bodies are not careful of their surroundings.

A friendship is a bond where people interact with each other. I  believe a true friendship consists of honesty, respect, and being supportive. True friends are going to be there for you in leading you to do right from wrong and to support you every step of the way.     In a true friendship you need to be honest. Honesty is an important an aspect in a friendship because you need to be able to trust someone.

Imagine your sole confidante, childhood playmate, personal comedian and physiologist disclosing your secrets to a stranger. Unfortunately, this stranger happens to be the person who enforce a form of punishment for the actions that were once a secret. Furthermore, this confidante is considered your friend. My definition of a true friendship is maintaining a strong and trustful friendship can have an impact on you and your friend.

A friend is someone who is able to understand you and accept who you are. Finding and recognizing the different type of people there are in this world, being able to find someone who you can actually call a true friend, I would say that feeling is one of the best in the world. Friends soon become family, they become your sense of support when you are walking on top of broken glass. A friend is able to see that through everything that you have done and everything you guys have shared there is never a good enough reason to give up everything you once built. But if there was ever a point when they choose to step aside, they should back out slowly, causing no harm during the process or after it because there should always be some sort of respect left for the friendship that was shared.

My definition of friendship is when you are honest, nice and trustworthy. Yes friendships have limits because you need to be honest you don't need to be dishonest in a friendship. You need to be nice in a friendship and you don’t need to be rude. Also in a friendship you need to be trustworthy you don’t need to be untrustworthy. An example of friendship is when you tell your friend something and tell them not to tell know one and they don't.

True friendship is defined as someone that is willing to spend time with that person, or to help you with anything you may need help with.

Meriam-Webster explains that friend is one attached to another by affection or esteem. By simple definition, most describe friend as a person who you like and enjoy being with. My definition of a true friendship is,they are people who dont judge on what's on the outside , but on what's on the inside.They are never to leave your side even on your good days. They are their on your good days,bad days , and normal days .

Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual acquaintance. True friendship is not just a "relationship", but self-sacrificing love. A friend is also one who supports, sympathizes, and is a person in whom you can confide. There are unique qualities that a person must have to be considered a friend.

One of the most marvelous types of relationships that anyone can have is Friendship. A majority of people today can say that they have many friendships, however not many know the meaning of true friendship.
