There is no doubt that kindness is the solution to everyones problems. Being kind is another way of expressing yourself, which in my opinion, is like relieving yourself from excitement. The act of sharing your happiness and helping people who need it is my definition of kindness. In fact I witness kindness everyday; however, to see kindness you may need to encounter someone mean. Weather you’re the one receiving kindness or sharing it, they are all done for the same reason. The need for a new friend or pure satisfaction in oneself. In the same way someone acting like a buffon is another way of expressing kindness. For example, the idea of someone acting like a fool or a simple gesture is proven to bring up someone feeling vulnerable.
It is important to strive for kindness because, it makes people feel appreciated, and it
People often perceive kindness in different ways, some think of the smaller things and some the larger. Acts of kindness are like wonders of the world they make it a better place. For example mountains some see this grand rock that the sun reflects off of in the morning and others see a glorified piece of rock. Smaller acts of kindness are just as important as bigger ones. Usually when one thinks of the word kindness some act or person comes into mind and my person is Leticia Chavez a.k.a Ducky.
Kindness is the source of goodness that leads people to true happiness. We help others hoping that it changes their life for the better.
Kindness is the source of goodness that leads people to true happiness. People help others because it makes them feel good, it changes the life of another person, and it's in people good nature to do so. One good reason people help others is to make them feel good. Like in the story The Scarlet Ibis the brother felt good for helping Doodle. Doodle wasn't able to walk, so that meant that meant that his brother had to take him wherever he wanted to go.
Kindness comes in different forms, that can alter someone's day instantly. In “Enrique's Journey”, he witnesses kindness from several people in his time of ultimate weakness. Kindness in my life may not be that extreme, but it is appreciated. Even though giant acts of kindness aren't as prevalent as
One of the responsibilities that an individual has in a community is to treat others with respect. There are many reasons to why you should treat other people with respect. But one of the most important reasons, according to Sonja Lyubormirsky found on pbs.org is that, “being kind can start a chain reaction of positivity; being kind to others may lead them to be grateful and generous to others, who in turn are grateful and kind to others” (Lyubormirsky, 1). That being said,
Anna Maria Hong says similar things to Pamela Steed Hill. Hong says that Nye offers that instead of being a random act, kindness is received after going through certain experiences. She also enjoys the use of metaphors and personification. One great point that Hong makes is that she believes that the Indian on the bus refers to feeling uncomfortable or foreign in an environment. Most people look out the window instead of embracing it. If this poem was compared to an event in real life, one might use an example of going to a new school. When a kid or teenager enters a new territory, they may not feel socially accepted at first. It is human nature that making friends is not an easy task. That is why other peers should be kind toward new student. You never know what kind of friend you might get unless you try. However, most people don’t know what being a new student is like unless they have actually been one themselves.
Literature is arguably the most significant aspect taught in high school. It allows us to expand our minds to interpret human nature and its consequences. Several high school curriculums neglect the importance of improving the novels to better fit current generations, which consequently reduces its impact. A Complicated Kindness is a novel by Miriam Toews that should be implemented in the English curriculum, as it not only relates to high schoolers in today’s society, but is also deemed one of the best Canadian books through its personal touch and prominent themes that relate to other important novels.
If I was rude to someone I would expect them to be inconsiderate back. However, the same goes for being kind. I believe that if you treat others as your equal, for the most part, they will respect you back. While this may because they genuinely feel respected themselfs and therefore care about your relations, or because they feel a guilt to be kind based upon your actions you receive positive feedback. The principle of fairness strongly ties into this virtue as well.
Sexual Experimentation, Drug and Alcohol Abuse In The Virgin Suicides and A Complicated Kindness, the restrictions that religion puts in place cause the youth to rebel against that religious system. In A Complicated Kindness, it is made clear from the beginning of the text that there is “a ban on the media, dancing, smoking, temperate climates, movies, drinking, rock ’n’ roll, having sex for fun, swimming, make-up, jewellery, playing pool, going to cities, or staying up past nine o’clock” (Toews 5). These strict rules against what are considered standard activities lead Nomi to rebel.
In the text, "Random Acts Of Kindness Defines Who We Really Are," the author is writing to not only inform the reader about what the around a person who might judge you or say something about you that you don't like. The author makes many diverse quotes that has the same effect as the one above throughout the entire text, these types of quotes gives examples for the quote that was stated early. One example from the text states, "Small acts of kindness like leaving a meal for a homeless person or paying off a stranger's layaway balance at Kmart, start trends with more people getting in on the act because they are such feel-good stories." The author uses this effects of being kind are, but also to persuade the reader to be kind and do good deeds
Kindness: Being kind,Friendly, and caring for others and not treating them with disrespect. You should always be kind to others if you want them to be kind to you. One act of kindness is standing up for somebody when they are hurt by someone else or helping somebody when they are in need. Another act of kindness is when somebody will give up there spot for you just like Miranda did for Via in the book Wonder. Via is having a school play and she is an understudy for the lead role.
change someone. When you do that it will not only have a lasting impact on
The day was June 25, 2000. The heat was intense on that sunny day in Arlington, Texas. After hours and hours of waiting, a six pound fifteen ounce little baby was born into this enormous, daunting world. Fast forward seventeen years, that little baby is now a senior at Winnfield Senior High School. My mom says there are not enough words in the world to describe me, but I think I can sum it up using the letters of my name: Kayla.
Treating others with kindness benefits everyone involved. For example, in the story “Angel in Disguise”, the author states "We'll keep her a day or two longer; she is so weak and helpless," said Mrs. Joe Thompson…” She was starting to open up to Maggie and realize that she loves her as if she were her own child. This helps lift Mrs. Thompson’s sprits and shows her that she can feel feelings. This shows how being kind to Maggie made her a more loving person in the end. Additionally, in the article, “Teaching Kindness,” the author states that “As minds and bodies grow, it’s abundantly clear that children require a healthy dose of the warm-and-fuzzies to thrive as healthy, happy, well-rounded individuals.” This is proof that children need kindness
