Democratic Policy Making Process A Democratic government is one where the citizens hold most of the power, instead of the political officials. With that being in mind, I do believe the policy making process is democratic, to an extent. I believe government officials consider the people’s opinions on smaller matters, such as enforcing curfews for children under eighteen, but not to aide in finding a solution to more prominent issues, such as lowering the cost of healthcare. Lindblom and Woodhouse believe we, as citizens, do not have the mental capacity to create solutions for more demanding social problems.
