The patient received an endotracheal intubation for respiratory failure then was transferred to the ICU. We used Gordon’s eleven Functional Health Patterns to evaluate the health status of the patient from March 9th to April 7th, 2014. The health problems included: ineffective breathing patterns, impaired physical mobility, knowledge deficit, and hopelessness. We assisted him to commit rehabilitative exercise for better respiratory pattern and prevent muscle atrophy.
