Next Plc is a clothing retailer with stores around the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world. The purpose of the business is to provide

Next provides clothing for men, women and children and also homeware. These can be purchased in one of the many Next stores or online from their website. Next is a public limited company which has its shares listed on the London Stock Exchange. The general public can buy shares in the company and receive a dividend for their investment. The share price can go up and down depending on the level of Next is a large business. It employs nearly 40,000 people in the UK and Eire third largest clothing retailer in the UK. Next originally started with only one shop, but this has grown and it is now a global retailer with shops around the world. It is most popular in the UK and all major towns and cities have a Next shop. Being a public limited company Next are able to raise capital through share issues. This means that if they want to expand their shops or refurbish them they could easily raise the money for this. it is also attractive for investors who will receive a return on their investment.
