I learned that a job description provides a list of specific qualifications, requirements, duties that exists with the designated job title. For example, if I want to become a law clerk, the job description requires I have legal research skills, an ability to interpret judges’ orders, or communicate case law. Now that we understand the function of a job description, before you accept the Employer’s job, you must be willing to cling to every single element listed in His job description:

• Repent “And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2).
• Put God, first no matter what “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God” (Exodus 34:14)
• Deny yourself “Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24).
• Be committed to your job “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine”
(II Timothy 4:2).

Now that we have had a peek at the job description, we are ready to move forward into what He offers, and we will look at His identity.
