Description of the population
The United States of America is a nation with diverse people and race and the different races includes the African Americans, the Whites (Non-Hispanics) Asians, American Indians and Alaska Natives, Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders and lastly those mixed of more than 2 or more races. – 1
The entire population of the United States combined with all these diverse people is a total of about 321,418,820 according to the 2010 census and updated in the year 2015, the distribution of that population is as follows; the Whites are about 247,784,609 and they are by far the largest group of people in the United States of America. The Blacks or African American are about 42,632,530 and are second in the category of largest race of people in the United States. The Asians come in the third position numbering 17,982,195 and the American Indian and Native Alaskan number 4,010,885. Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders number 760,190 and lastly, those who are mixed of 2 or more races account for a total of 8,248,411. - 2
This means that 2015 US Census Bureau estimated The ‘Black Only’ to be a total of 13.3% (42.6 million African Americans who identify as Black only) or 14.3% (46,282,080 African Americans in the United States who identify as Black in combination with other races) 3 of the entire American population and it therefore becomes significantly imperative to look critically at the issues that affect the African American
