Description of Two Psychological Approaches Describe two of the following psychological approaches: the psychodynamic perspective, the cognitive perspective, the humanistic perspective, or the physiologicalperspective. To diagnose malingering with the cognitive perspective you would want to look at the person's family to see if there was a history of drug abuse, or you would need to find out why the person thinks that they would rather be on disability than work. The person may have bad memories that relate to the cause of malingering. To treat malingering using the cognitive approach you would have to find out about the person's past experiences and things they dealt with growing up. You would have to get the person to change the way they have thought their entire life and break a cycle that they grew up learning. Question #2: Children learn through three primary methods: classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and observational learning. Describe each of these three learning paradigms. Then, choose a behavior and describe how this particular behavior could be acquired using each of the three paradigms. For classical conditioning, be sure to identify the neutral stimulus, the unconditioned response, and describe the process by which the behavior is learned. For operant conditioning, be sure to identify the reinforcer and the target behavior, and describe the process by which the behavior is learned.
