“DOG.”That's all I could think. Today was the day me and my dad would go pick my dog bud from the springs, I was so excited! Finally I would get a lifelong friend. When it was time to go we loaded up in the car. During the ride we got hungry so we stopped at Pete's dinner on the way. My dad had a burger and I had steak, the steak was incredibly juicy, we paid a total of 10;30$.But before we left my dad had to say hi to the owner because Pete was a friend of my grandpa's. Then we got back into the car and continued our journey. While on the road I stared on the window, my dad raging behind me because he was cut off while turning. Though I preferred to stay awake I fell asleep on the way only to be awoken when we arrived. We were greeted kindly by the breeder who gave us bud. He directed us to the living room where I would play with bud and the breeder and my dad would fill out the paperwork. There he was my soon to be dog Bud. Bud was a brown and white shih Tzu, my favorite breed, with brown eyes and a hairy faced purebred. He was the best thing I've ever seen in my life. While my dad was paying the breeder and filling out paperwork I was sitting and playing with Bud his little feet were so cute as he tried to run at me, such a ferocious beast. After about 30+ minutes of playing my dad tapped me on the shoulder and said it was time to leave. We loaded back up in the car, this time with Bud, except I was still tired so I layed down in the back carefully with a
The House of One is an interesting concept that consists of three worship centres: a Christian Church, a Jewish Synagogue, and an Islamic Mosque. This idea presents the hope that it will bring society a little closer together, but even though there are a handful of benefits surrounding this design, disadvantages also make an appearance. All in all, I personally believe that this proposal should be developed in Toronto.
Did you know dogs have many personality traits? Dogs can be kind, sweet, loyal, energetic, lazy, fun, mean, playful, happy, hyper, friendly, obedient, disobedient, respectful, loving, sad, brave, stubborn, jumpy, clingy, babyish, dependent, independent, and/or annoying.
I looked at my dog and made eye contact with his large brown eyes. Time seemed to slow down as I read his eyes like an open book. I still remember the look today, while I was laying on the couch next to him. It was the most terrifying sight I’ve ever seen. My dog, my best friend, and the only thing to trust me with everything calmly could show that he had accepted death. For me though he was still could wagging his tail for us. The night I saw this was October 22nd at 8:02 PM. This dog changed my entire perspective on life. He was a dog that could instantly make a room bloom as a flower would, but with joy. He loved life and those around him and that caused us to love him so much.
People assign importance to objects to feel comfort and safety. My object is my dog Jeorgie (yes, it is spelled like that). He is small, about five pounds, and very light brown color, almost yellow. Jeorgie has big eyes, which makes him fall into the “puppy eyes” stereotype. He is very little with short, skinny legs. Jeorgie is a very cowardly dog, not from trauma, but he is a chihuahua so it is understandable. Though really fearful, her is a brave and courageous. To me, the most distinctive trait Jeorgie has is a white dot at the center of his forehead, between his eyes, almost like a bindi. Having a pet has taught me some of the most important life lessons - love, companionship, and accepting death when the time comes - and the pets presence in a child's life, to me, helps them understand life and work it out.
My step-sister Mia and I were asking for a dog for a long time. We would always watch The Animal Channel show about dogs or vet, and it would make us think about how much we wanted a dog. Both of us had dogs before, but we did not have one anymore, we either got rid of them or they were with our other parent we didn't live with. So we would keep asking my dad over and over and bribe him by saying we would clean the house and clean and take care of the dog. One day before my sisters dance recital Mia and I were in the middle of watching TV when we saw an ad for a free dog we ran outside and begged for a dog. So he said he would think about it if we all could behave and keep the house clean. So we worked our hardest to keep the house clean, from cleaning my little brother's bedroom to cleaning both bathrooms. He lived up to his promise and started looking at dogs on Facebook we found one that was close by in Norwich and we were so excited when we found out that we were going to meet him after my brothers game. We were so excited at the game that we walked around to pass the time we sat on the dock at the park next to the field and were so excited we thought looking in the river would help pass time but it really made it go by slower. When we got in the car after the
A golden retriever for a companion is an excellent choice because they are loyal and faithful friends. In general, dogs are always happy to see you, even when you are upset or in a dark time. Even if the owner is mad at them, they will try to make you forgive them by giving you lots of kisses and curling up next to you. They will also keep close when you start walking, so you are always protected by them. Since a golden retriever is a field bred dog, they are very smart and can help you go get things and drag items where you need them. Also it is easy to find a golden retriever in a field because their golden to reddish fur color stands out against the green grass or the bluish green of pool/ocean water.
Losing a loved one is hard, it takes time to get over it for many a loved one could be a dad, mom, or any sibling, my loved one was my dog and not only just a dog it was my first dog. This golden brown retriever would light up anyones darkest day. I called her Gabby 80 pounds, shiny brown coat, and a ball of energy. Boy I tell you I sure do miss her, I got her at the age of 12. I honestly could say I was never a dog person they scared me especially the big ones. It wasn't until one summer day my mom said she had a surprise for me. I sat in the house as she proceeded to walk outside to the car, the next thing I know I hear a bell ringing it was a dog. I kid you not I started to cry and not because of the surprise but because of this gigantic dog. It was running at me I tried running from it but it chased me I thought it wanted to bite me. All it wanted to dog was play she was so energetic and knew plenty of tricks. I was so excited!
Dog owners are known for enjoying the company of their pooches and most dogs hate sitting at home by themselves when their family goes out. Although it may take work, teaching your dog to canoe with the family can be very rewarding. The first step is to get your dog used to the water. For some dogs this comes naturally and for some dogs this will never be considered fun. Some of this has to do with the breed and some of it has to do with how they were introduced to water. A good way to introduce a dog to water is to purchase a child size wading pool and let him play around it until he gets used to it. Then slowly teach him to get in and play in the water. When transitioning to the open water try to find a beach area so that they can play in the shallow end before learning to swim out farther. It isn 't necessary for your dog to love the water to canoe, but they must have a familiarity with it and an ability to make it to shore safely. The second step is to get your dog used to the canoe. Let them jump in it on the ground. Put their favorite toy in there and let them jump in to play with it. Reward them when they go in with a tasty treat. Maybe put them in there and give them a kong filled with peanut butter. This is much like training a dog to love their crate. To make your canoe dog friendly it is important to make them feel secure. One way to do this is to put a non-slip bath mat on the bottom of the canoe so that they have a more secure footing. There are many things
My first dog was named Toby, he was a very white, ball of fluff. He blended in with the shiny white crispy snow on December 25, 2006. My sisters and I were on our way home from my dad’s house when all of a sudden we pulled into my mom’s house. On Sunday, December 25, 2006, Toby was waiting at our house. We all got out of the car on that cold snowy day and walked on the slippery sidewalk. The snow was like a chilling carpet on the bottoms of our feet. My mom opened the door with a camera so my sisters and I knew something was up. A shocking step in the house and we saw a very fluffy dog, we were very excited. He was like a deer in headlights. There was a bunch of screaming and yelling going on at that moment between the three of us. We
My pet dog, Lola is a very interesting dog. We really don’t know much about her, but we
After a long, stressful day at school with a lot of homework to do, I go lay on the couch and rest my eyes for a bit, but only to open my eyes to see the cutest dog in the world jump right next to me. I start to smile as my dog gets closer to my face, about to lick my face to smithereens.
Over the years, I’ve encountered hundreds of dogs during my runs. Most are friendly and simple behaving the way dogs have behaved forever. But, in those few times, that Little Fido wasn’t so friendly, you are forced to make a choice: either stand your ground (and maybe even go on the offensive) or else find some way to defuse the situation, which will ultimately lead to your escape.
It is said that a dog is a man’s best friend. Though this epigram appears have been written by a chauvinist, I still live my life by it. I am an animal lover, and it shows. At that time my family had already rescued and taken care of a total of seven animals. So, when my mother called me saying we would have to take in another animal I was both elated and concerned.
In a field of green grass, a young girl with auburn curls is running with her best friend, a four-legged loving dog named Bongo. His wrinkly face and wagging tail makes him adorable and approachable even to strangers. Her parents are smiling and watching the playful dog interact with his human friend until a stranger approaches them and warns them of the dangers of dogs of that breed and how the dog could seriously injure the young girl. Bongo is a nine-year-old American Bulldog that was adopted by the family at the age of two. When they adopted Bongo, the shelter mentioned to the family that he was removed from his previous home because of neglect. Bongo had a rough start in life suffering with a family who chained him up and left him to die, despite this, his heart was full of love which made the family adopt him right away.
Tasha and River were jumping really high and landed with their arms up like they were waving to me and saying hi. I teach dogs cool tricks because it's fun and it reliefs me. The dogs I teach tricks to is Tasha and River. They are really good listeners and they learn quickly. Also, they keep me company when I'm home alone and when I teach them tricks. They enjoy doing tricks with me because they show it on their face. I give them treats when they listen to what I say to them when I am teaching them new tricks. For example when Tasha and River get the trick right I give them each a treat to eat. But only teach them one to two tricks a day because I don't want to push them to the max, and fill them up on treats. If you would like to teach dogs tricks like me then that's great.
