“ Would you like to come to a place where dream come true, a place where you can live in your very own fairytale, a place called…Disneyland!” My Papa said with a grin that reached all the way to his ears on both sides.
I was silent I had no words, all I could ever dream about at this age was going to Disneyland, and then I finally had the chance of going!
Since I hadn’t given an answer my Papa said, “ Well if you don’t want to go we could always still go to Build a Bear Workshop, it’s your choice…”
It was the easiest choice I ever had to make, and without even thinking I blurted out, “ OBVIOUSLY DISNEYLAND ARE YOU CRAZY!?!”
Driving to Disneyland felt like it took a lifetime, and after waiting ALL those hours we stopped but get this, we weren’t even at Disneyland.
While arriving, the first thing that I saw was Cinderella’s castle. It was the most magical building I could’ve ever dreamed I would walk through. It was breathtaking, all of it from the gleaming golden castle tops to the royal blue roofs. So many thoughts were running through my head: “Is this true?” “Am I really here?!” And the answer was YES, I was actually at Disneyland, where dreams came true, where I met my favorite princesses, where I could be a princess.
But it was night time so we had to spend the night at a hotel. But this wasn’t just any ordinary hotel. THIS WAS THE DISNEY HOTEL! The beds were so comfy and soft they could’ve had me sleeping as well as sleeping beauty, and on top of that they
I remember the first time I went to Disney World; excited and eager like a child on the first day of school. I already had my suitcase packed two weeks before we even left, and that two weeks felt more like two years. The night before we left, I couldn’t sleep. It was like I had nonstop adrenaline rushing through my body. All I could think about were the rides, princesses, and that beautiful beach I’ve seen thousands of pictures of. Finally, after hours and hours of stirring around, I fell asleep.
I hopped in Dad’s car to head to Disney World in Florida. It took us 30
Attention getter: Disney World has always been known as the happiest place on earth. I went there as a kid and haven’t forgotten my experience since. (Talk about how you got sick) Disney World has touched the hearts of kids for more than 50 years.
My first trip to Disney World, now that, that was a memorable trip. That trip was one of the most magical and happiest memories of my life. It was back in 2008, I had just turned 6 years old a few months before we left to go there. It was summertime, and the weather was perfect. I remember being so bored on the way there because I am an only child so I didn’t have anyone to entertain me besides myself. My mom’s side of the family went on this trip with us, and at the time I was the only grandkid, and the only kid at all. So once we finally were almost there I remember passing the big ‘Welcome to Disney World” sign and being so excited I peed my pants--my mom was pretty mad, but my dad thought it was kinda funny so I didn’t get in too much trouble.
The peculiar setting of this unlikely family affair reminds the reader that the events are the result of the writer's "wild" imagination yet the theme park exists in the real world, leaving the reader as trapped between reality and fantasy. Using the “Happiest Place on Earth,” Disneyland, as a
We finally arrived at the Walt Disney World gate. I screamed. Everyone forgot about how sad they were and became full of excitement. A couple minutes later, which felt like hours, we reached our hotel gate that had a sign that said “Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter”. I couldn’t wait. I was so excited!
As aforementioned Pausch provides advice from experience, but he loves to bring up his childhood dreams, “when I was eight years old, my family went on a cross-country trips to see Disneyland.” (51). Just “two
“Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.” (Walt Disney Company). In today's hustle and bustle of the stresses of school, church, athletics, and home life it is crucial to take a break every once in awhile. Disneyland was, is, and always will be a place of joy and unity. It’s a place for families and friends of all different backgrounds to be together. To celebrate life, even for one day. Allowing Hailey to go to Disneyland on Friday, October 20th would also allow our family and her to take a break, have some fun, and make some memories.
“We’re going to Disney World, we’re going to Disney World!” I chanted as more and more excitement filled inside me, as quickly as helium fills balloons. “But, I thought you said we weren’t gonna go Disney World.”
When I got to magic kingdom, the first thing I saw were shrubs shaped like Mickey Mouse. Like any other mom, mine wanted to take pictures in front of anything and everything, which included the Mickey Mouse shaped shrubs. I quickly got annoyed, but when I started walking down main street the amazement hit me. I started looking around wanting to take everything in. I saw kids sitting on their dad’s shoulders so they could get a better look. I saw balloons, ice cream, and hats all shaped like Mickey Mouse. The stores, the characters, the castle, everything was like something I’d see in a movie. It was truly magical. I realized then that I wasn’t too old to experience the magic of Disney.
DisneyWorld. But while she was looking out the foggy window, her eyes glanced at the the stack of mail from the children’s hospital laying on the counter, her heart sank. She just wished that she could have a few more years with her son. She wished there was some hope for her sweet and kind-hearted boy. She became frustrated at how anyone could pick on someone so undeserving. Before she let her feelings ruin Nicholas’s trip, she rushed outside to take him to the happiest place on
Going on vacation isn’t always as relaxing and enjoying as you think it should be. I felt like I couldn’t wait to go back home after some of my family and friends went to Disney World for vacation. The whole area felt like it wasn’t even a part of the United States. When we went was also the worst possible time to possibly go to Disney World. It was a truly horrible experience and I don’t see myself going back in the future.
Long ago, a girl had a wonderful great-aunt. Her great-aunt took the girl, whose name was Addie, and her family on many wondrous trips. They traveled to Disney World when Addie was only 3 and took vacations to Mexico many times. Eventually, it became a tradition that her great-aunt took her family as well as some of her relatives on a special, exciting trip every other year. So it was only partially a surprise when this great-aunt invited her family on another vacation to occur when she was 8. But this trip was to be even more thrilling than Addie could have expected. One day, her great-aunt Mary announced, “This year, I will take you all to Disney World.” Addie could hardly believe it! The previous trip to Disney World had been so long ago,
And now, nearly four decades after his death, the maker of said creations, Walt Disney, is not nearly as recognized as he should be. Not only are his works and other projects intriguing, his morals and techniques personally behind them are as well. And yet they weren’t just his morals, they were shared by the country’s people who so desired an example of good principles. Perhaps the most significant scheme of all was his creation of his very own amusement park in 1955, Disneyland, located in Anaheim, California.
