The House on Veteran’s Boulevard I lived in a house on Veteran’s Boulevard for the first two years of my life. It was there that I learned to walk and talk. Living in the house was entirely uneventful. There is videos from my first birthday that were filmed in this house. I was chubby and red faced and happy, sitting in my highchair not so patiently awaiting my birthday cake, the first i 'd ever had. I believe this cake was vanilla, ironic actually because now I cannot stand the taste, or even the smell, of vanilla. Shortly after receiving this cake on my highchair tray, my older brother Kyle shoved the cake in my face, causing a screaming fit from the one year old me. Apparently the rest of my birthday I was crying and throwing fits …show more content…
When I was in the fourth grade, my mom took me out. She let me skip school to go shopping all day and go out to eat. After shopping and eating we got sodas at the gas station. Sitting in the gas station parking lot sipping our sodas was when my mom told me that her and my dad were getting divorced. Immediately, I started crying, I did not want my parents to split up. But i especially did not want anybody to move out. My mom calmed me down, and told me that nobody was moving out just yet. Instead, my dad 's new girlfriend moved in, while my mom was still living there. His and his girlfriend, whose name is Melody, lived in the camper away from my mom, my brothers, and I. This went on for about a year and a half until finally we moved into a small apartment in House Springs.
The Apartment in House Springs In this apartment, my mother and I lived happily. My brothers visited occasionally, and at one point Kyle even lived there for a few months instead of with my dad. Everything was good for a while. About a year after living there, both of my brothers were at our apartment along with Kyle’s best friend, Jordan. They were in the living room, eating White Castle. Tensions were running high all day, which I later found out was due to the fact that Jordan owed Shane money for some stuff he had sold him. Kyle asked Shane for one of his extra burgers, Shane said no, Kyle got mad, the problems they were already
The unpacking took a long time we had to pick our rooms and then bring our things in them. I picked the upstairs room, it had a bathroom and a big closet. The room was isolated from the rest of the family and in my old house our rooms were close by each other, so I moved to a room down stairs since it felt weird. It was odd living in a new place, at least at my grandma’s house I had visited it before. It was different having a basement since in Florida if you dug out a basement it would flood with water from the sea. It took awhile but we finally unpacked all our things and it was almost time to start school. We got my sister and I enrolled for school at Horizon Elementary School. The rest of that summer went fast, before I knew it I was going to my first day of school of fourth grade. I started to make new friends and it turned out it wasn’t so bad to move to
My sisters and I all squished together on the small couch. So finally after what felt like twenty years, mom and dad said “We’re moving”. My stomach dropped. I loved this house, it was the only house I could remember living in, it was home. ”Where are we moving to?” I managed to say, hoping it would be across the street or something close. “Georgia!” she said with a soothing smile and hope and excitement in her eyes. Of course I didn’t want to move, especially out of state, my nine year old self was devastated, and before I knew it boxes were
Then we started to unpack all the silverware. Once we were finished unpacking it was time to put everything into its correct spot. There was no problem with everything else to move, but the couch and the tv were the hardest. After moving the heavy stuff we started to work on the kitchen and I had to put away the spoons, forks, and knives and my brother had to put away the plates, bowls, and cups. As soon as we were done with that we began to do the rooms. We first did our parents room and it took pretty long because they had to master bedroom. After that we did my uncle's bedroom. Finally, we did, me and my brother’s bedroom. When we were all done, we just relaxed and enjoyed our summer. A few weeks later, after moving in we went to a party and my dad has black hair and brown eyes and he was wearing shorts, and a tank top, with his favorite shoes, and his hair was spiked up. My mom has brownish hair, with brown eyes, and she was wearing her jeans and her shirt, with her north face jacket. My brother has black hair, and brown eyes, and he was wearing colorful clothes so I called him an ugly rainbow. I have black hair, with brown eyes and I were wearing joggers with a shirt and my jacket. The next day I went to the park and made a few new friends it felt good because they were nice to me and my
It was new year's day and my family and I were at a party, but the party was about over and we were packing up our cooler and the food we brought to head home. My dad and my mom got it all back in the car and my brother, my sister, and I piled in and we headed home. Once we got home we unloaded the car quickly because we were all tired and wanted to go to bed. All of us knew the next day was going to be super exciting because we were going to a fourwheeler hill climb place for the first time.
It began with a small town and a small house. Until about 12 years of age I lived an average kids childhood in Alfred, Maine. Everyone was kind, I had birthday parties, friends were always over, I loved sports, especially basketball. Most of all, I was comfortable. At the time, I never realized what, or how lucky I was.
"It will be okay" were the words he wrote to me a few days before we moved. Little did I know, but my dad would turn out to be right. The first few months after moving to Centralia I was miserable. I mean how can you move to a state eighteen hours away from your friends and things turn out to be
Once I lived in Maumelle. When we moved there my Mom said, “ This is going to be the place where we spend the rest of your childhood.” Me (Lilly Hartman) and my brother (Wilson Hartman) was excited to spend it here in Maumelle. It was a wonderful place. We lived in a one story house and with a dog named Katie and a Cat named Sassy, and for some time a fish named Benson. Our house was one on the corner of the street so we had the biggest yard on the street. It was Absolutely Wonderful.
Moving out on my own was a very scary task. I finally made up my mind to obtain a place for my daughter and myself; I was twenty five years old. Previously, I was living with my mother and father
When we did finally move from my childhood home in Illinois to our new home in Knoxville, Tennessee, the only thing I could think about was how isolated and scared I felt. What was it going to feel like on my first day of class when I was surrounded entirely by strangers? I will always vividly remember walking into my new high school and feeling so lost. Every class I walked into was an alien environment and I had to struggle to keep my composure.
At the age of 4 or 5 we moved down the road from my grandmother, in a nice 2 bedroom brick house, one bath, where I am currently living now. It was only my mom, dad & I living there for about 10 years, then my mom ended up getting pregnant & had another child. It caused the house to become a little cramped up as my sister got older. More
And I didn’t always know the struggles my family went through, but initially moving there… I was a kid! I was excited about moving into a bigger house, with a bigger bedroom. And not be in a apartment anymore.
When I came home from the hospital we originally lived in the trailer court in Hartford. Only 2 months after I was born we moved to our new house. The new house was perfect for a family and had plenty of room to rome and was located perfectly across the city park in Hartford. Soon after leaving the trailer park our old trailer was removed.
I didn’t always live on Meadow Ridge Road. But I have always remembered living on it. From the time I was born to the time I was a year old, my parents and three brothers lived on a road in the city. I don’t know the house I had spent my first year in, but I know the one I’m in now. Back then, it was just an old white house, with a siding that was no longer produced. The front porch was small, barely enough room to stand on and only there so people could stand above the snow during winter. The kitchen floors were wooden, with my father making my brother Lucas and I clean the floors with a toothbrush as punishment. The living room floors always had some form of urine from our dog. But that was before I grew up, and changes were made.
Upon arriving my dad learned that the landlord lived next door. He opened the door, and we went inside to see if it was suitable. I could not believe it; this house was nicer than my aunt's house. Three bedrooms one bathroom a den and a large backyard. My dad made an agreement with the owner of the house paid the rent and we could move in. Moving in however would be an easy task because we did not own anything. My parents sold the
During 5th grade year of 2016, almost once every week my parents would go and look for a house. I would remind them everyday that the house we have is great and there is no need to find another. In that house I have lived there at least eight years, which is most of my life so far. Till this day it has always been my favorite house, and the perfect house. I have made so many memories there it is impossible to count. I loved it.
