My first car My journey began on a spring day, when my boyfriend at that time-now my husband said that is right time to buy a car. Even though I was 23 at that moment, I had a feeling like I will be so independent despite the fact that from the age of 18 years old I didn’t live with my parents ,I traveled in Europe by myself and I was already an independent person. In contrast with the US, in Russia the minimum age to drive a car is 18 years old, but there is no much in a car because the public transportation is cheaper and more convenient because it is close to every location that you may need as well as lack of parking spots that make parking seem endless. On the top of disadvantages, is the stereotype that the worst drivers in Russia are females? These were my reasons why I started to drive only at 23, the perfect age when I just moved to US. The thought that I will have a car, my own car, made me feel very confident in myself. Thinking about my future first car made me so happy like I was a child expecting for Christmas gifts, unwrapping the presents without any idea about what is inside of the box. Unlike a child, I knew what is inside of the box, something that suits my budget, around 2 or 3 thousand. I was searching a car not for its shape, color or model but by my budget. As every first car owner I wanted a car that will be cheap in maintenance, with the lowest gas mileage , new inside and outside and with a clean title. My dreams were destroyed very fast, at the
I wanted a car so I wouldn’t have to rely on my dad for taking me to work, school, and other places. I had money saved up from previous summers, but it wasn’t enough to buy a car. I worked at Safeway during this time as a courtesy clerk. I hated this job because I would have to go outside and push carts during the hot summer and rainy days. I dreaded going to work when I saw how hot it was going to be, but I stuck with it. After some very long months at a job I didn’t like, I had saved up enough money to buy my own car. I was very proud of myself that day.
During our first run Taylor and I noticed that the car was turning way to the left. So in order to fix this we started our car as far to the right of the track as possible. After our first trials we realized that we needed to fix our string. We needed to cut the string we had attached off of our car and make a new one. When we made a new one me made it a little bit longer than the car and only hot glued it to the hook, not to the frame. Our new string had a loop in the end of it so we could put that on the toothpick. So now we understood that the toothpick did have a real purpose and we couldn’t glue the string to the mousetrap. After we made these changes we ran our car three more times.
Our issue is that we need a new vehicle because ours was wrecked and the rental car we were given to use after the wreck by the insurance company is about to expire, leaving us no mode of transportation. We are looking into buying a used vehicle from an advertisement in the local paper. We weren’t sure if the vehicle was still available so we have called the owner and inquired. We do not know who we are buying the car from but we are interested in purchasing the Volkswagen Jetta because of the advertisement in our local newspaper. Just from reading the car ad; we deem that the car fits all our needs and we need to get in touch with the owner fast in order to make sure they don’t sell it to someone else.
One of the most important events that happened in my life was just recently, and that was buying my second car. This thought process was in the making for quite a while, considering that I was getting tired of taking my silver Hyundai Elantra in the garage every four months for repairs. For that reason, it made sense that it was time for a new car or a used one, I did not care which all I cared about was that it had to be a manual transmission. In addition, the fact that I outright hate going car shopping, I put it off and off until this past January. Since my mom had surgery that month, she was home and could go car shopping for me, well searching on the computer shopping. Since she was doing that, I did not have to worry about it and she knew what I wanted for a car.
In conclusion, my 1st car was a bust traveling 9.8 cm/s, my 2nd car did pretty well traveling 35.86 cm/s, but wasn’t built very well and lastly my 3rd car was the most successful, traveling 50.16 cm/s. Over the time that I worked on this project my skills really did advance. In the beginning, I was clueless and now, with the materials, I could make another car in a day. I learned a lot from trial and error.
Opening my eyes, I look over to my paper thin tv for the time, noticing that I still have 30 mins till I have to get up I doze off into a soft sleep. Awaking from the blaring noise of my alarm I get up to brush my teeth. As I walk over to the wash bowl, where we wash our hands and brush our teeth, I reach over to grab my toothbrush off it's charger. As I was brushing my teeth, I noticed that it was almost time for me to leave for school. I searched around my closet for a shirt and some jeggings, my usual wardrobe for school, I head towards my broke in tennis shoes. Heading downstairs, I grab my computer holder and my headphones and head for school.
I should have known the car was a lemon because of the price. There is an old saying “you get what you pay for”. While out shopping for cars one day, I just so happen to pass by a car dealer that sold used cars. I stopped in and talked to the sales man on duty. I explained to him that I never bought a car before and was looking for one I could purchase for $250. He took me to the back of the lot where they stored cars that had been reposed from owners that could not make their payments. There he showed me a 1965 Oldsmobile and explained how this was the only car he could sell me in that price, he went on to explain how he really should sell it for $400 but because it was my first buy he would sell it to me for $250. I looked around the lot for other cars that may have been a bit nicer, there were a few but they all had much bigger price tags. This was the only one he had for $250 although I should have known there maybe problems with that car, because of the price, it was my first car and I wanted it.
Two years ago i was with my friend and his dad raced down at peoria speedway, and right after we unloaded the car he has a hauler so you can get on top of it. We heard commotion behind us and there was two white cars pulled up and two girls got out of the cars and they started fighting like pulling out their hair. I thought that it was hilarious probably 10 minutes into the fight the girl gets back in her car and tries to run the girl over. The girl that almost got ran over she punched a hole in the driver's side window and tries to pull her out. So the cops get there and both girls are in their own car and the officer is talking to the girl in the car behind the first car while she is talking to her the first girl spins her tires and she drives
It was a cold December night shortly after dusk, a likely setting for an event that would prove to be life altering. As fate would have it, this would be the night that I lost the material possession that truly meant the most to me. I would lose the one thing that gave me much pride and joy and excitement. I often think back and liken us to a newlywed couple, for we had only been together for 18 months and were still very much honeymooning. It was a night, a moment, that even now scoffs and mocks me as I travel thither and yonder with her replacement. But she can never be truly replaced and to call my current fix a replacement seems like a sort of blasphemy.
You have agreed to buy a new Subaru from a dealer. The down payment you will need to make on the new car is $9,400, which lets you take out a loan with manageable (but steep) monthly payments. You are low on ready cash, so if you can't come up with the down payment by selling your Volkswagen Jetta, you will have to borrow it at prime plus 5% interest. You are supposed to pick up the Subaru first thing tomorrow morning, so you want to sell the Jetta today.
Since I was a child, I have always dreamed I could have a car which belongs to me. I still remembered when I was four years old, my parents gave me a remote control car as my birthday gift. After that day I started to fall in love with cars.
Buying a car can be one of the happiest times of a young adult's life, but when they find out the cost of a new car it gets scary. As a young adult, he or she may not be able to buy a brand-new car so they will need to buy a used car. I remember buying my first used car very well, it was About three weeks ago. I was very excited to be able to be my first car, but I quickly noticed that the amount of money that I had saved up was not much. I did not have many options when it came to cars. My parents wanted me to get a safe and reliable car but I went against that and bought my dream car a Ford Mustang GT. It was very hard for me to find a good condition Ford Mustang but with the right resources and help, I was able to buy my dream car.
I could feel the cold brisk air brushing up against my skin as I ventured through the darkness in this vacant parking lot on a dreary Sunday night in November. I could see a car in the distance and began to approach it. The car appeared to be an old rusted out vehicle with extremely tinted windows that were dark like death. As I looked inside the vehicle I noticed that the car was as clean as a crystal. Not a speck of dust could be found on the interior and the floor mats were completely spotless. It was as if the vehicle had never been driven before. I then put my hand on the door and proceeded to step inside of the vehicle. As I did so I felt a sensation through my whole body that made me tingle. It was an unwelcoming sensation as if I was entering a whole new world. As I sat down there's was a smell, a sheer clean smell similar to that of a fresh load of laundry. Goosebumps came about all over my body as adrenaline rushed through my veins. I put my hands on the steering wheel and my mind took me into another dimension. Taking a glance in the rearview mirror I could see a mysterious person approaching the vehicle. As I examined the person I came to the conclusion that this must be the owner of the vehicle. I noticed they were dressed in all black and carrying what seemed to be a grocery bag of some sort. In panic, I got out of the car and looked at what appeared to be a male figure. The man was very masculine and tall. His mere presence was enough to strike fear into
Vehicles are a part of a person’s everyday life these days. You see them everywhere, no matter if it’s a big city, or a little country town. People use cars to travel to all sorts of places, whether it is a school or work. We push our vehicles to the maximum so they seem to wear out really fast. It seems like every five to six years you have to purchase a new one. People have so many causes to by a new car these days but owning a car also comes with a lot of effects. New cars come with a lot of benefits like reliability and warranties. The biggest downfall with buying that brand-new car is the car payment and that expensive car insurance. A new car might look good, and you might get more attention, but you pay for that attention. You must ask yourself is the cost worth the award?
The search for your dream car entails spending months combing over different makes and models of car, seeing which has the most horsepower, the fastest, the best for mudding or the best for racing. Pondering what it would be like to own such a masterpiece of vehicular perfection.
