My Hawaiian Beach Day
As I stepped onto the fiery sand of Ko’Olina Beach, I couldn’t help but look around and take in all the beautiful scenery. The exquisite green-blue water was the clearest and most elegant I’d seen. I couldn’t believe I was actually here for the first time, and I was ten years old. My whole family-Mom, Dad, Caleb, Luke, Simon, and I were there.
As soon as we got to the beach, we set up our area by the water. Our Marriott hotel was right behind the beach, so it was very convenient. After we finished setting up, I went into the cooler and snacked on some Lays Sour Cream and Onion chips. “You up to toss a frisbee, Caleb?” I ask my older brother.
“Sure,” he replied as he grabs the

“Seven to zero, boys! That’s what I like to see!”
They drove down and scored, topping it off when Jason made a nice throw to Caleb and he caught it. We kept on playing for a while, both my team and theirs making some great play, including Hope getting an interception. It was fun playing, but after a while everybody was getting tired. We played a couple more minutes and then we stopped. After that we all went to play in the beautiful water. When I stepped in, the water felt so refreshing on my feet with the hot sun pounding on the rest of my body. I dove in and started swimming around. The waves were fairly small, so I couldn’t go diving into them like I could in Santa Cruz. I still loved the small current rippling around my feet, almost tickling them in a mischievous way.
“Caleb, Isaac, Luke, Simon, lunchtime,” my mom interrupted my thoughts. “It’s sandwiches and chips, with some Oreos!” At the sound of Oreos, we all got out of the water and came over for lunch.
I devoured my delicious sandwich in about three bites. I then took two Oreos and ate those, taking my time and making the sweet flavor last. After that I took some Doritos and munched them down with crunching sounds.
Before long, almost everybody had finished eating, and I grabbed a frisbee and threw it at Nathan. “Heads up, Nathan! Catch!” He turned and snagged it, and threw it back to me. I then flicked it to Andrea. “Catch, Andrea!”
She caught it and chucked it to Gio, who threw it to
Before going to Hawaii, most of my summer and Christmas vacations were spent traveling to visit family. My dad was in the military, so when he was given leave, we were always going back to our hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. Sometimes, if we were lucky, we went to Georgia to visit our relatives in Augusta. So imagine my surprise when, as a present for doing great in school the previous year, my parents decided to take me and my sisters to Hawaii for the summer! Once we packed our suitcases and planned our travel itinerary, we were on a plane and headed from Texas, where we lived, to Hawaii. I’m sure the process was a bit more complicated than that, but I was only 13 years old and didn’t realize that at the time.
When people plan to attend Hawaii they think of beautiful beaches, great exotic food, and the smell of wonderful flowers never before smelt. That is exactly what they get, from turquoise blue water to skyscraping palm trees Hawaii has so many exotic things to see. Also all the great smells of Hawaii from the wild fruit to the roasted pig on the beach Hawaii definitely brings to mind one thing happiness. In Hawaii there are many things that bring happiness to mind such as the extravagant smells, not to mention the beautiful sights, and most of all the spectacular taste in the exquisite food they have in Hawaii.
I didn’t think I would ever have the opportunity to go somewhere so beautiful and magical as Hawaii. The waterfalls surrounded by the thick canopy of trees were so calming and amazing.
Most of them were taken, but then I saw Jack and he waved at me and yelled: “Hey, over here!” I walked over to him and said: “Hey, what's up?” “Not much,” he said “We didn’t really do anything, all the teachers just had us learn the other people's names and what they liked.” We kept taking throughout lunch, and then the bell rang. “See ya later,” he said “See ya,” I said.
According to hawaiinewsnow.com it is a fact that on average, there was about 220,000 tourists a day in Hawaii. Visitor spending grew 4.2 percent in 2016, to $15.6 billion. That fact shows that Hawaii is a highly visited state. From their sandy shores to their wildlife, students have many opportunities to have new experiences. A beneficial field trip would be to Hawaii and visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial, Diamond Head, and Sandy Beach.
When we got there we went to go set up the campsite then we went to go relax on the beach. This is the people that went my mom, my dad, my grandparents, my brother, my dogs, and my friends and my brother’s friends Jasmine, Silence, Addison, and Noah. We played in the ocean for three hours then in the sand. Then it is almost ten O’clock so we had to go to bed. Before we made s’mores then went to bed.
“Thank you!” Lydia exclaimed as she jumped out of bed. “There’s breakfast in the kitchen,” Ms. Katie called. “I’ll be outside getting the cart hitched up. Make sure you eat enough; It’ll probably be two or three hours before we can get anything
For breakfast there were eggs, bacon, sausage waffles and so many more delicious options. My personal favorite was the cinnamon sticks dipped in warm maple syrup, although there wasn’t much time to eat them, I savored every bite. As my day went, on because of all the training going on, I had no idea when we would finish or how much time we had left. Until I heard “chow time”, words that made me smile because not only do we get a break, but I knew that we only had half of the day left. For lunch the dining hall served hot wings with white rice along with your choice of sides at the salad bar. The thing that made lunch extra special was the fact that we could have cookies. It may not seem like much now, but at that time it was the only real sweets most of us had in weeks. Although I tried not to show it, inside I was grinning from ear to ear. Then finally, there was dinner. Dinner meant that the day was finished. There was no more training or exercising and I would be able to go to bed soon. For dinner, pizza. That alone was the perfect satisfaction for me after an extremely long day and it was enough to hold me over until
With one single ticket in my hand and the world to explore, where would I go? Out of all the places around the world that I could visit, my top choice would be the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Hawaii has so much to offer on all eight diverse islands. From seeing pictures in travel brochures of Hawaii’s beautiful scenery, vast culture, and tourist attractions, it would definitely be the place for me. After exiting the boring interior of the enormous grey American Airlines plane, I began to feel the warm summer sun beaming down on my face with a slight cool tropical breeze in the air. I am anxious to see what all will be in store for me!
My usual lunch table is pretty crowded. My friends and I sit in the same seats. It's me, Lanee, Raymond, Brice, Christian, Gus, Cade, Haven, then Lindsey. We were all having good conversations and laughing until we cried or couldn't hardly even breathe. If any of us don't want some of our food, we set it in the middle of the table for one of the boys to eat. I set my Cheez-Itz out there for someone to snatch. Cade was the one who got to them first, and of course, he started to eat them. Pretty soon it would be time to go back to class. Mr. Carter did what he usually does
It's the summer of 2014 and we're Finally taking our dream trip to Hawaii. It was about a year and a half ago When my mother’s friend marlin asked her if she wanted to come and visit her in O’ahu Hawaii where her husband was stationed at for the army. After that day my mother started saving money for the long trip to O’ahu Hawaii. If it wasn't for marlin We wouldn't be going on the trip that I have always wanted to go on.so at last it was time to go on our once in a lifetime trip to Hawaii.
Has anyone ever wondered what it would be like if it was summer all the time?
Hearing the shouts of students excited for the lunch bell, I fought my way through the crowd to find my friends. In a small group, we walked towards the lunchroom. We soon sat ourselves down. The lunch room was filled with voices in the air. The grounds dirty with food thrown down and the tables. I mean, this was your typical school lunch. “AYE MARCUS! CATCH!” A boy had shouted from afar, I watched as the boy threw a granola bar at the kid, “Marcus.” Shaking my head, I diverted my eyes back to the conversation.
I lived in Riverview till I was 3, the house was as small has a fly compared to the house we live in now.
As she was walking into the dining room she thought to herself, once again I'm going hungry but it is worth it as long as I'm like the others. When Esmeralda got to the dining room, she looked around, made sure no one was watching and dumped her beautifully cooked breakfast into the trash.
