Making the right decision isn't always easy especially when choosing a university/college because you would be spending money and time on a university/college that may or may not help you so you would really need to look into them before making a decision.
Traveling is one of my family’s favorite things to do. The family has visited numerous places throughout the United States, however, none are as memorable as Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, there are many places to go and sights to see such as: Cola-cola factory, Cabbage Patch Kids Factory, Under Ground Mall, the Zoo, Atlanta Braves Stadium, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone Mountain Park, and the Atlanta Aquarium, are all in or near the city of Atlanta. The three that we visit on every trip to Atlanta are Six Flags, Stone Mountain, and the Atlanta Aquarium.
Each of the three groups in the sample looked and compared: the mean GPA, retention rates, total credits earned. It further measured the students ACT, High School Rank , Residence Hall and Living Off Campus for first semester. The researchers found that the data did not reveal significant patterns and or relationships among the categories used. The numerical differences in mean GPA, credits earned and retention rates were relatively small. T-tests of retention rate differences for the Freshman Seminar treatment and the no treatment control group also showed no statistically significant differences.
At some point in their lives, everyone faces a decision pertaining to college. Whether the question is “What college is best for me?” or “Is college really something I’d like to pursue?”, it is never an easy task to dictate what to do with the rest of your life. If a high school student ends up deciding college is where they want to go next, they need to decided specifically where they want to apply. Though choosing a college can have a very opinionated decision, there are a few characteristics that can determine which colleges are better than others. Some of these characteristics include freshman retention rate, the percentage of college freshmen that stay at the university passed their freshman year, and the difficulty of acceptance of the university.
Decisions are everything in life, they choose everything from your future to your destiny. Such as my life after high school I will either go to college or work at McDonalds. After that last sentence I have came to a conclusion that college is the decision for me. College will be one of the hardest decisions of your life, it's like in fourth grade picking rock, paper, or scissors; you want to pick the right one. There are three main colleges I want to choose from and I would be happy with any one of them no matter what. The three colleges I want all have pretty good track teams which is a must, and a wide range of medical courses. I will be examining the three schools with the criteria of good athletics, has a wide range of medical courses,
Choosing a college involves researching multiple factors, such as program requirements, transfer credits, costs, and more. Compiling a list of personal, professional, and academic goals, and how you will accomplish them, is the first step to finding the right school for you. Once you have identified several programs that meet your needs, there are additional criteria you can use to compare your options and find the best fit.
Jackson State Community College is a great place where everyone can go for a head start of education. It is even a great place where it is good people, and has a positive environment. Instructors and administration are always there pushing you to the best of your ability. There are many things that I love about the campus, but one thing that catches my eye is the courtyard or in other words the quadrangle. The Quadrangle is located outside, in the center of the campus surrounded by buildings and stands like the library, gazebo, administrative building, and nursing building. This is a place where individuals can meet up at any giving time of the day to chill and relax. The Quadrangle is placed where it directs you to mostly all of the buildings that Jackson State offers. When going out to the Quadrangle it is a really nice view, full of excitement and fun.
Iowa State University offers a large campus. The campus itself entirely is around the size of my hometown. I have lived on campus for a few weeks now, and I know most of the campus, yet spend most of my time in my dorm. Whenever I am not in my dorm or in class though, I often find myself wandering around campus. When wandering around campus I usually look for the best spots for me just in case I want to sit around and relax.
Jack was sitting cross-legged on the wooden floor of his tree house. He shivered in the evening air, slouching inside his hoodie, his eyes glued to the pages of his graphic novel. At eleven years old, he was a voracious reader and completely unaware that the sun had set. He had been using his flashlight for over an hour, propped under his chin so his hands could hold the book open. His collie puppy, Lex, had been patient but was starting to think about his fluffy bed and treats in the house. He pushed his head between the book and Jack, using his saddest face and even whimpering a little.
Someone once said, “Never base your life decision on advice from people who don’t have to deal with the results.” Choosing which college you should attend is a stressful, arduous, exciting, and terrifying process filled with endless conundrums and choices. However, the end result, the college that provides oneself with the best education, career opportunities, and general satisfaction, is well worth the mental and physical toll that the search takes on an individual. So, how do you circumvent the twists and turns of fate and determine your dream school? The answer is rather simple: do it yourself. In the end, you are the one going to college, not your parent, teacher, grandparent, brother, sister, the guy behind the computer making the college rankings, or anyone else. Though your decision may be influenced by a variety of sources, it is your responsibility to walk your own fulfilling and enriching path. Consequently, the best way to determine your perfect college match is to drown out the rankings and do your own research, research that considers every factor that is important to you.
I sat on the soft, colorful carpet in the corner of the classroom, planning my next prodigious film! Would it be a sequel to my most famous and extravagant movie Argentina? That was my absolute favorite film, mainly because I liked the breathtaking musical numbers in it. I stared at the dark blue walls pretending I was in the rundown, old Beach Orphanage, filled with badly built buildings and sad little children, the magical setting of my movie! “Why my benevolent Argentina, what shall we do with these horrid sandwiches?” I exclaimed. I dropped to the floor as dramatically as I could, pretending to be one of my protagonists Argentina the talking fish! “I don’t know! Those sandwiches are quite malicious aren't they?” Argentina winked at me with her piercing purple eyes and glittering long lashes. She was the shiniest fish I’d ever seen, and she was covered in glittering blue scales. I watched as she started to glitch as in a video game, disappear into a thousand tiny pixels and float away in the sparkly sea. “Do come back Argentina!” I yelled brushing my short hair out of my tearful eyes. “Save me from her! The evil orphanage woman!” I said sinking into the silky sand, the forceful wind blowing in my face. “SANDWICH TIME!” The evil woman yelled as I began to walk back from the beach. “No! Not sandwich time!” I ran back to the water and dove into the mysterious, salty sea. It was cold. No, freezing! It wasn’t long before a wave crashed over my head. I felt the world spin as I
I look out the small oval window as my carriage makes it way along the ruff, jerky and jarring dirt road. The darkness makes the tree branches look as if they are reaching out towards me, causing me a slight feeling of unease. The rain bashing hard against the window reminds me of the night it all happened. As my carriage travels over a large bump I am jolted in my seat, startling me as my mind had drifted to memories of that dreadful night. I try to look away from the window and think of something else when a loud crack of thunder alarms me. More memories from that night. I look down to my hands in my lap and realise that I have been nervously moving them together subconsciously, ‘a nervous habit I need to stop’ I think to myself. I wonder how far away I am from the destination? I again look out the window and notice how dark the night looks, caused by the dark storm clouds and gigantic trees that loom overhead.
I never knew the moment I would step into that elevator, that my once boring morning would flip upside down. I stepped out of my hotel room, purse in hand and ready to take on the day. I walked down the hall into a small section where two elevators were located. I patiently waited for one of the elevator doors to open, and I noticed a woman standing next to me. Her attire consisted of a fancy blouse, and a skin tight skirt. I turned my head away before I could get caught staring, and at that moment the elevator door opened. We both stepped in and I pressed the first floor button then looked over at the lady to see if she needed to go somewhere different. She gave me a slight nod, indicating she was going to the same place I was. As the elevator door started closing, a girl quickly blocks the door from closing with her hand.
Rhythm. The sunlight lightly tapped a beat on my arms, warming me. The crate below me was hot to the touch. I felt the soft sand as I brushed my toes through it. The beach was full of crates. Heaps of them lay in the sun, tanning and conversing in their wooden ways. A few people populated the beach. A cluster of young men was behind me. I listened to their conversation. I had an odd habit of doing that- eavesdropping.
I remember entering the large but seemingly lifeless cafeteria. The lunch room was full of other high schoolers. I felt as if the lunch room was empty and I was alone. Just the recognition of not one person there deals the lonely card. Nobody recognized me. Not even one person, I looked left, I looked right, I looked down at my lunch. I pretend to check my phone for the notification that wasn’t there. I was the new guy, again. Starting from scratch is tough, but when it happens twice in two years, it seems borderline impossible to fit in.
