[C.E.2.2] OVERVIEW:
A project titled “Design and load analysis of storage bins using CREO 2.0 and CATIA V5 R18 software”. I carried out this project in order to fulfill the requirements for my first semester study during my Masters Degree. In this project a sheet metal component was designed and load analysis carried out using CATIA V5 R18. I selected a sheet metal storage bin component for this project. The steps carried out in designing and load analyses of component are explained in detail in this report. The first step of the project was the Design and modeling of the storage bins using CREO 2.0, and then loads analysis of the model in CATIA V5 R18. I intended to understand and document the real load capacity of the storage bin to help facilitate mass production as a key outcome of this project. This project on completion fulfilled the requirement for Masters and alongside helped me to become proficient in the use of CREO 2.0 and CATIA V5 R18 Software.
