In the light of global competition, Taiwan’s machinery industry is in urgent desire heading towards to fields of high precision and high stability. However, the most urgent issue is that over 90 % of machinery manufacturers is small-to-medium enterprises. With limited financial resources for research investment, these companies having a hard time maintaining their technological competitiveness. Through my undergraduate training and relevant work experience, I have a strong determination to dedicate myself to developing key technologies for the industry and become a leading researcher, focusing on the dynamic behavior of machines. I sincerely believe that I can make a great step towards this goal with the

For instance, I undertook rigorous training within group projects in the course of Precision Machine design, and it helped me lay a solid foundation for machine design techniques, like tolerance design, layout design, and selection of machine elements. To meet the strength requirement, I also applied mechanics knowledge to carry out the stress-strain analysis of axle and attach great importance to machine component arrangement for minimizing avoidable loads. With these prerequisite training, my group even designed a plate-flipping machine, with all the details carried out, for example, gear reducer, linkage mechanism and detail drawings; furthermore, aside from fully understanding the physical properties of the mechanical system, I feel particularly satisfied in combining theory with computer-aided software for solving engineering problems. Specifically, I learned to utilize numerical method with Matlab for calculation of complex problems through the course Heat Transfer and Computer-Aided Engineering. As the mechanical system will be more complex in the future, it propels me to persist in learning more advanced theoretical knowledge and computer-aided engineering techniques to strengthen my ability to design an ideal
This theory is intriguing and I believe that with a finger in every pie around the world, Mechanical Engineering is an obligatory study for the visionaries. My quest for knowledge ended in Chennai where SRM University’s unparalleled curriculum provides a detailed introduction of the elaborateness of the subject, exposing us to a variety of fields such as Fluid Dynamics, Gas Dynamics and Space Propulsion, Materials Technology and Computer Aided Manufacturing. Laboratory assignments and presentations intensified schoolroom education, implementing conceptual learning and putting to practice founding principles, thus enhancing my understanding. Active and energetic, I was always in the driver’s seat for any exercise our group produced. In fact, in the first year, a faculty member recognized my academic competence and encouraged me to keep advancing ahead towards

Subjects such as I.C Engines, Theory of Machines, Machine Design and Automotive Engineering gave me a greater insight into the vast and intense field of Automotive
Everyday, we use a plethora of products. From the toothbrush in the morning, to a fork during lunch and a pillow in the night. They all have one thing in common: they were made by engineers, engineers who have always asked the question “How to make products with the highest quality possible with the given resources?” This concept has fascinated me from the inception of my college days. This fascination along with my strong academic base makes me want to pursue Industrial and Systems Engineering for my graduate study.
In this letter of intent, I am going to focus on the purpose of studying Industrial Engineering further at the post-graduate level. I have chosen University name because I feel it will best prepare me to fulfill my future career objectives. I jot down my Statement of Purpose with due respect to the Department and the University.
‘Education is a companion which no future can depress, no crime can destroy, no enemy can alienate and no nepotism can enslave’. Meditation of this quote has inspired me to excel in academics. My goal is to accomplish a challenging position in the field of Quality Engineering and deliver high-quality products and services to customers. My industrious efforts in Higher Secondary examinations and passion for science helped me gain direct admission in Mechanical Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, one of the renowned institutions in India.
Continuous knowledge gain of scientific theories, inventions, discoveries, machineries and the physics around me laid a path which helped me to take a direction in choosing Mechanical Engineering.
I always wanted to get into the greatest of all Sciences, i.e. engineering. The good thing about Mechanical Engineering is that all my interests find application. Considered the most versatile field in engineering, Mechanical Engineering covers range of subjects like design, software, production analysis, manufacturing to name a few. This field demands high creativity, innovative thinking, very good hold on Math and most important to think radically. This triggers the pulses and is the very reason for choosing this as my field of study. My experiences as a student of …. the training, the projects, the tough targets etc. has brought me very close to realities of life and made me realize that starting from simple household gadgets to complicated medical equipment and supersonic jets to super-fast computers all are the gifts of Mechanical engineering and technology and I am indeed one of the privileged few
The excellent undergraduate program at MREC has not only provided me with strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, but also helped me widen my horizons in the various different fields. During my under graduation I was introduced to many subjects where I found my interest in courses such as engineering mechanics, production technology ,material science and laboratory subjects always have a major impact on my academic growth. I learned CAD, PRO-e, and C-LANGUAGE software’s. I completed my under graduation with
The undergraduate curriculum in Mechanical Engineering at RTM Nagpur University introduced a wide gamut of subjects, both in and outside the field. These courses enabled me to understand the field of Mechanical Engineering on the whole. In my opinion, having just a bachelor degree would not allow me to narrow down my research areas for further doctoral thesis. Thus, my purpose to join Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) at University of Illinois Chicago is to understand thoroughly all the research aspects of Mechanical Engineering, which would indeed facilitate me to keep up my research work in Design and Nanoengineering.
I got placed in Tech Mahindra. The major courses I studied are Automobile Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Design of Machine Members, Theory of Machines, Operations Research, Machine Tools, Production Technology, Robotics, Engineering mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Power Plant Engineering, Engineering Drawing, Machine drawing, Production Drawing, Mechanics of Fluids and Finite Element Analysis.
Starting from the first steam engine, Aeolipile to today’s Mars rover, the transcendental pervasion of mechanical engineering has shaped the life on this planet as we know it today. This progress seems never ending as the new technologies are engendering ever new complex challenges. Therefore, merging of fundamental research with real world applications is demanding now more than ever. As a student of Mechanical Engineering, I am well aware of these facts and have decided to pursue an active career in cutting edge research.
