As Inman S. and Rogers M. (2006) rightly put it, presently, it is a big concern since it was first brought up in the UN conference on Environment and Development issues in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, where governments committed themselves to integrate the concepts of environmental awareness and sustainable development in the informal and formal education sectors.
Caesar (2005) as cited in Inman S. and Rogers M. (2006) estimated that in 2006, one person in five would have less than one dollar per day to live on, ten million people, including 4.5 million children would die from hunger-related diseases and at least 13 million people would be refugees. From the environmental perspective, Climate change is already responsible for a huge increase in extreme weather conditions which bring devastation and disaster. The recent case is the prolonged drought in Kenya resulting from the destruction of the main water catchment areas, such as the Mau, complemented by the uncontrolled emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. According to Connor (2005) as cited by Inman S. and Rogers M. (2006);
“the social, economic, political and environmental issues are threatening the only fabric that makes the people a community; celebrate their diversity and endeavour rather peacefully to meet their basic needs.”
Kenya, being part of the global framework, has in a similar version been faced with a myriad of challenges.
“Kenya relies
I would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the people who have helped me in the preparation

Environmental Education has been described as education for the environment, education about the environment and education through the environment. It is the process of recognizing values and clarifying concepts in order to develop skills and attitudes necessary to understand and appreciate the inter-relatedness among man, his culture, and his biophysical surroundings. Environmental education also includes practice in decision-making and self-formulation of a code of behavior about issues concerning environmental quality (IUCN, 1970). Environmental education is a relatively young, dynamic and immensely complex field to study
In this modern world, many events like conflicts, failures, and wars. But alternatively, if we chose our world to be civilized and help prevent such issues, then the community and the citizens should work upon pluralism, practices of civil society, unity, working upon mankind, and acceptance of every belief. “No human development initiative can be sustained unless; it operates in an environment that invests in pluralism and diversity, that it has an extensive and engaged civil society and stable competent democratic governance.
I am thankful to the working staff of MCB, who provided me with a very friendly and comfortable environment, through which I learned very much.
The entire global community is currently suffering from the unfriendly climatic conditions, the gradual disappearance of rain forest in the tropical regions, the loss of animal and plant species, changing rainfall patterns, and global warming resulting from the changing climate. Climatic changes have the potential to affect all natural systems. It is therefore becoming a threat to human development and survival economically, socially and politically. Despite the fact that the climatic changes pose a threat to the entire globe, many people believe that developing countries (like Kenya) in the tropical regions of the world will be impacted more severely than developed ones.
We thank you for the opportunity to provide you with our quality service and look forward to hearing from you soon.
-There are many increasing environmental problems in Kenya. For example: ”loss of biological diversity; deforestation due to illegal logging and excision of forests; soil erosion on the
Studies show that people experience a dip in interest and concern about environmental problems during their adolescent years (age 13-17). However, there is a lack of information on whether this dip applies to the other two dimensions of Sustainable Development (SD) i.e. social and economic, as well. This study examined changes in the broader concept of Sustainability Consciousness (SC) throughout adolescence. SC is defined as “a composite of knowingness, attitudes, and self-reported behavior related to each of the three dimensions (environmental, social, and economic) of SD.” Using an age-adapted questionnaire, the investigators surveyed more than 2,400 students
And finally i want to thank all the employees of the BCIMR for their kindness toward me and for everything that I have learned thanks to them whether it is professional knowledge or more about me.
We wish to acknowledgment the help of all those who have provided me information, guidance another help during our training period. Without their help it would have been difficult for us to have reached this state of completion of our project report.
I highly appreciate the nature of support I had received from my teachers, technical support staff, and fellow students and as well as some external organisations.
