Develping A Diverse Workplace: A Case Study

If I was a manger of an agency I would take a few steps to combat discrimination. Equal employment is defined as a means to prevent discrimination in the workplce based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, physical and mental ablilites. The steps I would take is to make sure everyone is considered based on the qualification, be mindful of the interview questions and make sure policies are followed. A diverse workplace is important because it matches the value of human service agencies. To develp a diverse workplace I would offer training, cross functional collaboration and mointer underrepresented employees.
