Diabetes is chronic disease and have two types (type one produce very little or no insulin usually accrue in children , type two diabetes don’t produce enough insulin this type common in the females than males).This disease is "major pandemic situation" because 246000 of people had it and 1 out of 3 children born after year 2000 will get it .I learned this information from the documentary and some subjects I had it in this semester. In the beginning I felt bored when I saw this documentary but I enjoyed and interested it later. In the documentary they choose people from different places in America.

This disease has been steadily increasing in the United States over the past decade. It affects about 24 million people in American over the age of 20. Diabetes is ranked 7th among the leading causes of death in the United States. It can also contribute to the development of other fatal diseases such as heart disease and kidney failure.

There are four main types of produced in our body based on how soon the insulin starts working, when it reaches the peak, and how long it stays in or body. Each type responds to insulin in a different way so there is no one type that works best for everyone. Some types are mixed together in one bottle.

There are two serious complications that affect those who suffer from diabetes, poor circulation and nerve damage. A simple blister or cut on the foot can quickly progress to a serious infection due to the numbness and lack of feeling that results from nerve damage and poor blood flow. Neuropathy, which is chronic nerve damage caused by the disease, can produce cracked, dry skin which provides an opening for bacteria to enter and cause infection.

The main objective of this experiment was to identify the different bands present in each hemoglobin samples. Based on electrophoresis of hemoglobin, the purpose was effective. One must maintain a healthy diet in order to be less likely to access a health complication. Some illness/diseases are simply just genetics and unknown factors that trigger the onset of the disease. When someone is diagnosed with a certain illness/disease they must follow certain diets and have more precautions of the food and drinks they intake. Keeping an activity level in one’s life is also important to help the body control the disease or illness, this is depending what your illness or diseases is. For example, someone with Diabetes type I or II must be cautious of what they consume and it is suggested that they maintain a active lifestyle if possible to help control the blood glucose along with other benefits. Your main focus as a diabetic patient is to maintain your blood glucose level at a decent range. In order to do so, factors must be changed in a person’s diet.
