The article ‘Did humans and dinosaurs co-exist?’ shows Manfred E. Kober stating that dinosaurs and humans did coexist at some stage in the past. However, this article is an invalid and unreliable source due to Kober having no prior knowledge or qualifications in any fields of science whatsoever. He has only studied the bible at the Baptist bible seminary and only states a very one-sided and biased look at dinosaurs and humans living side by side because of his religious background. Not only does he have absolutely no qualifications, he has also used incorrect information in his article when saying dinosaurs became extinct 150 million years ago and also saying that modern man lived 1 million years ago. Qualified scientists believe the dinosaur population actually became extinct 65 million years ago revealing this article as an unreliable and untrustworthy source. Kober …show more content…

Jean Lamarck understood evolution as the change in an individual and their characteristics based on their needs, which were then passed down to their offspring. He believed in the ‘law of use and disuse’ which basically means if a species or organism were to use an organ extensively it would gradually become more enhanced however, if an organ were used less frequently in a species it would become weaker or even lost. To support his theory he used giraffes and the evolution of their necks. He believed that giraffes stretched their necks to reach the leaves on lower branches of trees to eat the leaves and as a result of this their necks gradually became longer. As a result, the characteristics were passed down through generations eventually forming the modern day giraffe to suit the environment that they live
