At the moment, I am assisting with onboarding initiatives for the Government of Canada. This includes meeting with supervisors and colleagues across departments on a variety of topics, using a mixture of computer applications and networks to deliver key communications, and more. My supervisors trust me to represent the team at key stakeholder meetings due to my ability to converse with others.
The best example of my application of these skills was the group project that I presented to representatives from the World Bank. This project was challenging, as it involved the massive undertaking of evaluating the current state of Iraq, and assessing its future needs, all while taking into account the plausibility and effectiveness of any actions that my group proposed. By winning this competition, based upon my group’s project proposal and presentation, I believe that I was able to utilize many of the skills necessary to be an effective problem-solver and communicator, both of which are indispensable tools for successful claims
I have reinforced this standard of working relationship many times in my career and I am confident that my values, personal drive, and skills prepare me well for the work I have undertaken. This is shown by my relationships that I have maintained with Guidance Officers, Teachers and Head of Departments. I have worked in teams who had been confronted with periods of organizational change and am proud of the outcomes achieved. I have demonstrated my ability to work as an effective team member by completing the tasks required of me within the policies and procedures provided. The Australian Red Cross Blood Service (ARCBS) has identified a long-standing issue of poor repeat blood donation from young donors, in particular males.
