High school in real life is full of surprises, but according to David Denby in his article "High School Confidential," High School in the movies is very predictable. The typical Hollywood "High School Scene" opens with the jock and the cheerleader characters. Blonde and buff, the Jock and the Cheerleader are superficial and proud to proclaim it. They are popular and perky, and always too good to be true. The cheerleader is usually the enemy of the hero or heroine. She is generally rich, blonde, and queen bee of the social circle, with no sense of selflessness. The jock is usually the bully, muscular, good looking and not very smart.(Denby 343) In an essence, the male counterpart of the cheerleader. The Jock and the Cheerleader are almost

Ronya Berrian Professor Paul Jackson English 1101-RG October 4th, 2017 Memoir Assignment I’m sure many have shared stories of their high school experiences and can relate when I say those four years have taught me many lessons. During this time, I’d come face to face with the fraudulent friendships, temporary romances, and other high school dramas that my parents once warned me about—those of which I simply brushed off as myths. It wasn’t the 90’s anymore— times have changed and people are different—or at least, that’s what I thought.

Obviously, they started filming season four, and I'm not sure where the season is taking the show. Me and Ali {Milner} just went out a couple weeks ago for a night on the town. She had a friend who was performing in Vancouver, so we went out and watched this person's performance. We both took a photo and posted just so we could show the When Calls the Heart family. "Hey, Roy and Edith hang out, not just in When Calls the Heart." The craziest thing is how much we both loved the Hearties and even how much traction that one photo that we posted got. Everyone liked the fact that we were out having a good time. It showed that the Hearties like Roy and Edith, and we wanted to show how much we liked the Hearties. Right now, we don't know what's going on with Roy and Edith. Either way, it's a great show, and it will continue with or without

high approached, I grew older and more conformed to my generation. Johnny Cash was not my cup of tea anymore. Artists such as Ke$ha, Rhianna, and Taylor Swift were big; however, my favorite was Katy Perry. Her song “Teenage Dream” was my anthem in seventh grade. I was turning thirteen that year and becoming a teenager was a huge deal for me. I was not quite ready to be a teen, but I thought I was. “You think I'm pretty without any make-up on/ You think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong.” In seventh grade, these lyrics taught me that it is better to be you and not to be superficial when it comes to guys. Also, the thought of living the “Teenage Dream” was extremely exciting to me; I learned that it was not that it cracked up to be. It came with way more responsibility than I thought it would be. Things became a little more complicated. Friends were starting to change and people were acting different. This song helped me realize that this was only temporary and that it was normal. At the end of eighth grade, it all started making more sense. We were all just trying to find ourselves in this
While wildly successful, the group ended on a very troubling note and it seemed impossible for a reunion to ever be considered. The fans believed it was possible though and have followed the members of the band through their adult lives. Watching as the boys matured into men with families and careers outside of the music business. While not everyone is returning to the stage, the three entertainers appear to be enough for the fans of the Bay City
