Legislation and codes of practice
Different legislations and codes of practice are naturally incorporated into practice within normal daily routine. For example the anti discrimination act 1977, racial discrimination act 1975, special educational needs and disability act 2001, disability discrimination act 1995 and many other acts are all incorporated by making sure that everyone is treating equally and have access to the help that they require.
Equality – making sure that special requirements etc. are being met and privacy is being granted. To make sure that all staff are trained and supported correctly.
Diversity- There are standards around recognising service users different needs (these could be religous, communication needs etc).
