I grew up on four-wheelers and spent much of my childhood riding trails with my brother, friends, and parents. It wasn’t until later in my life that I finally got a dirt bike because my mom thought they were dangerous and would never allow me or my brother to have one, so I bought one myself. There are a lot of similarities and differences between the two. The biggest differing being the two wheels versus the four wheels. On the dangerous factor dirt bikes are a little bit more dangerous overall but you won’t hear me telling my mom that. Unless you are racing on tracks they are honestly about even. You can race both quads and bikes on tracks but tracks are mainly for dirt bikes. From my history I have probably had more close calls over time on …show more content…
I was riding a 04 yz125 2 stroke which is a Yamaha and he was riding a 01 or 00 cr250 2 stroke which is a Honda. Which from 0-40 they are the same but past that the 250 takes the cake with its bigger engine. Anyways on this part of the trail we were on idiots with trucks come back and rip up the trail thinking they are cool and they create ruts that can be up to a foot or more deep. I usually take it easy on this part and do my best to avoid the ruts because if you hit them you aren’t going to have a good time. But my buddy being a track racer was blasting through the trails at full speed so I did the same. He had full protective gear on while I just had a helmet I might add. But anyways I’m not a wimp so I’m going to be going just as fast as he is though the uneven terrain and I was right behind him for a while until around the last bend when we just start seeing the main road this trail is off of. WAM, my front tire catches a rut and sends me sideways slamming into the ground with both my hip and my head and I was rewarded with a limp and a sore

The difference off quads and dirtbikes are the quads have headlights and the dirt bikes don't have headlights. The dirtbike has two wheels instead of four. The dirt bike has one exhaust pipe and a quat has two. And the quad is slower than the dirtbike.
Dirt racing is a sport that is growing heavily in popularity. The two main dirt racing series are the World of Outlaws late model series and the Lucas Oil late model series. They both work together in the way that if one has a high paying race that week the other will not race so he other series drivers can racers can have a chance at winning the money. There is 400+ tracks in America and 600+ worldwide their is 30 registered tracks in Wisconsin. With hundreds of drivers with a large majority of them being extremely experienced drivers at it.
Dirt Bikes are a very good choice on if you are planning on not spending a lot of money buying one. They are also alot cheaper on gas than a 4 wheeler so overall they do save you a lot of money. If you aren't very good at balancing on 2 wheels than a dirt bike definitely wouldn't be a good choice because if you flip them going fast if can be very fatal. (“Dirtbikes can Kill”). But they are a lot lighter so if you end up flipping it and it lands on you it is a lot easier to get off then a 4 wheeler would be if it is on top of you or on its side. But with a dirt bike you cant do any yardwork with it they are more for trail riding and riding on a track and also you can't really have any passengers on a dirt bike unless you want to be at high risk of flipping it. Also with a dirt bike you can't go through as much snow or mud as you could with a 4 wheeler and a dirtbike would be very hard to drive in the winter with all the ice on the roads. If you are looking for something that will go really fast dirtbikes usually are faster than most 4 wheelers but you also have the risk of being on 2 wheels which could be really scary going really fast.

Motocross runs in Weston Kemper’s family. “I was given my first dirt bike when I was four,” stated Kemper. Kemper’s dad loves dirt bikes and has passed down the passion to Kemper, “Even when I was a baby my dad would take me on rides.” Learning from his dad, Kemper has grown into a talented motocross biker. Kemper spends his time riding dirt bikes at Finger Lakes in Columbia, MO. Currently, Kemper races in competitions locally from March to October. Kemper sticks to racing and has put tricks to a rest after getting injured in fifth grade. Once, while riding in fifth grade, Kemper was attempting a trick when he fell of the dirt bike and it landed on his femur. Kemper’s femur was broken in four different places leaving surgery mandatory. The
The particular community I consider to be affiliated with is the local dirt track race car community. Dirt track racing is a sport in which race cars perform on a dirt or clay surfaced oval track. There are various race car classes that range from Hornets which are considered the least expensive all the way up to the Modified, which is the most expensive class of race car to run on the race track. I personally identify myself to be included in such a community due to the fact that ever since I was the age of four, my father took up the sport of racing Modified’s every weekend from March to October, and this is ultimately how I was introduced to the race track family (community). At the age of six my brother was very intrigued by the sport of racing and convinced my father to allow him to follow in his footsteps, and also pursue the love and dedication for the sport.
I have gone on a vast amount of trail rides with several different horse. This ride was the first time I had ever taken D. D. (Deanna's Delight) out on one. This trail ride will not ever be able to forget.
Which would you rather ride, a BMX bike, or a Skateboard? There is a lot of commotion between skaters and “BMXers” about which is the better choice. There are a lot of pros of cons if you ride a BMX bike, or a skate board. BMX is better than skateboarding. There are a lot of pro’s and con’s on both BMX and skate boards.
This exciting, relatively new winter sport allows dirt bike riders to go from dirt to snow and back again. If you like dirtbiking than you will love timber sledding.Riders can enjoy snow biking when a Timbersled system is installed on a dirt bike.
DIrt track racing is a lot faster paced than any other races. Dirt racing features range from 20-100 while nascar ranges from about 100 to 500 laps and their is no pit stops the only time you can get in the pits is on a caution. Dirt gets a lot more intense because you're going up to 5 wide on a much smaller track. It is also a lot cheaper for admission than in nascar because it only costs 5-15 dollars for admission while nascar costs over 1 hundred dollars. In conclusion dirt is cheaper more fun doesn’t break the
Dirt bikes can be a very fun recreational item to use for not just yourself but your family. There are many different options when it comes to choosing one. There are different brands, sizes, strokes, and manual or automatic. If you want to learn more about them and how to choose one, this reading will be very helpful to you.
I’ve grown up with dirt bikes all my life they have been a way for me to have fun and just be calm when you're flying around a track or riding in the woods it's always fun but it wears your body down when you're riding all day and you can feel the stress on all parts of your body.
It was going smoothly until I was about half way down, when all of a sudden I hit the front brakes. The front wheels stopped and the back end of the four wheeler flipped over the front part. The four wheeler flipped three times before it reached the bottom of the hill. I looked up and I was laying on the sand, about half way down the hill. I walked to the bottom of the hill to see if the four wheeler was alright. I looked it over and it was still running so I knew it was good to go! I got back on it and I felt something weird on my leg. I looked down and there is a huge cut leg in my leg. There is blood pouring out of it and I started freaking out. I showed the guys and they brought me up to my grandma’s house who lived near by. I got in her tan car and she drove me to the emergency
