Also with a dirt bike you can't go through as much snow or mud as you could with a 4 wheeler and a dirtbike would be very hard to drive in the winter with all the ice on the roads. If you are looking for something that will go really fast dirtbikes usually are faster than most 4 wheelers but you also have the risk of being on 2 wheels which could be really scary going really fast.
