Introduction
Adventure Tourism is a type of niche tourism involving exploration, where the traveller should expect the unexpected. Adventure tourism is rapidly growing in popularity as tourists seek unusual holidays, different from typical beach vacation. Mountaineering expeditions, trekking, bungee jumping, rafting and rock climbing are frequently cited as examples of adventure tourism.

According to the U.S. based Adventure Travel Trade Association, adventure travel may be any tourist activity, including two of the following three components: a physical activity, a cultural exchange or interaction and engagement with nature.

Allocentrics are people whom seek adventure through travel. They are innovators who seek out new locations and activities and prefer high activity levels. (Polytechnic, 2013) Thus, Allocentrics are considered hard adventure travellers due to their desire for adventure, higher levels of risk, higher activity levels and other characteristics consistent with hard adventure travellers. Near- allocentrics are considered to be soft adventure travellers. (Goodnow, 2005)
Destinations
The Inca Trail is the most famous trek in South America and rated by many to be in the top 5 treks in the world. In just 43km, it combines beautiful mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, sub-tropical jungle and, a stunning mix of Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels. Peru’s Ministry of Culture, which administers sites of archaeological importance such as the Inca Trail, caps the total number of permits for the trail at 500 tickets per day. Everyone who enters the Inca Trail, trekker, guide or porter must have one of these 500 permits. (Less, 2014)

Environmental conservation efforts are currently being undertaken throughout Chile, not only by the Chilean government, but also the concerned individual citizens, grassroots organizations, international non-profit organizations promoting sustainable growth and environmentally responsible tourism. These organisations work with indigenous groups to prevent deforestation and develop sustainable use of Chile's native forests. (Society, 2012) Countries could adopt the conservation measures which Chile has done to ensure the environmental sustainability of adventure tourism.
As mentioned above, adventure tourism is a fast growing industry resulting in many business opportunities in this industry. Due to the increase in awareness about adventure tourism, there has been an increasing demand for adventure tourism. This growth will enable adventure tourism to be economically sustainable.
Tourism is the world’s largest industry with nature-based ecotourism seeing rapid growth since its initial arrival in the 1980s. It is estimated by the World Tourism Organisation that nature tourism generates 7% of all international travel expenditure (Lindberg, 1997) and this figure will have increased rapidly over recent years. When ever you’re traveling, you dont really have an adventure if you dont try new things and go to new places then youre not having an adventure. I am going to share some of my favorite activities that I have tried when I went traveling

To be a successful Tour Director, personal skills and qualities are often more important than formal qualification. In memorable trip, our clients expect not only what they are going to visit, eat, and play, but also the excellent “people” skills of our Tour Directors who would bring them happiness, surprises, and make sure that arrangements for the group to run as smoothly and enjoyably as possible since the tourism industry is characterized by high-contact services in which co-creation of clients plays a major role (Grissemann & Stokburger-Sauer, 2012). Joylyn, Ina, and Phoebe are responsible for organizing and setting up the tour by making reservation for hotels, restaurants, cruises, gate tickets, and more. In most of the time, they would make a reservation earlier and deliver special requests to the service provider from the client in order to have availability to everyone in the group and make our client feel that they are valued because we listen and we care.

Adventure tourism is tourism which takes place in an unusual place and it is an exciting experience, this involves exploration of an area. This is different to the typical beach vacation for example going to bungee jumping or rock climbing would be classed as adventure tourism. Adventure tourism generally involves some form of physical activity and is when someone does something for the thrill.
The average vacation brochure presents images of sandy beaches, luxury hotels, massages at spas and leisurely dinners. Traveler's recline in a world insulated from local cultures with rest and relaxation being their focus. On the other hand, adventure travel often entails adrenalin spiked, curiosity driven activities that test personal endurance with peaceful interludes embracing nature and learning about other cultures. Adventure travel often takes participants to foreign lands, but North America's residents can visit the Four Corners Region of the United States and discover cultural and athletic adventure travel at their fingertips. They need no passport to touch a sovereign nation's rich history.
Adventure, a yearning to leave home in pursuit of wonders never seen before. Creating memories with every step taken as you travel from place to place, looking for the next exciting location. If anyone knows the true meaning of adventure, it is Kaitlyn Brunssen. Kaitlyn has been traveling around the US since age eight, stepping foot in over twenty separate states. She traveled to more places in sixteen years than most people have in their whole lives. There is no doubt that Kaitlyn is an extremely adventurous person.
As quoted in Jon Krakauer’s Into the Wild, “The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.” Adventure is what takes you outside of your comfort zone. It’s what sets us apart from every other species. Unlike any other animal, we can enjoy partaking in adrenaline-inducing activities that no other animal has the consciousness for. Adventure is exhilarating and spirit-magnifying. It’s is the essence of what it means to feel alive. Adventure to me is about finding excitement and giving our lives flavor. Without adventure, I think my life would be rather mundane. There is little thrill in safety and conformity. I think it’s extremely healthy and even necessary for the human spirit to not always feel assured
Being adventurous has a different definition for everyone; what I see as adventurous may be someone else’s everyday life. For me, being adventurous means going outside of your comfort zone, whatever that may be. I try to exemplify this by going to new places, by hiking, and by trying everything. In my opinion, everyone should try to be more adventurous; even if it isn’t something very risky, we should never miss out on something that life has to offer. Living by this philosophy has made me realize that adventure is everywhere around us, if only we choose to see
