Have you or anyone close to you ever been discriminated before? Multiple types of gender discrimination has always been an issue and it’s time for it all to come to an end. Gender discrimination is discrimination that is based on someone’s gender or sex. Many people have faced it in different ways. I am researching the harm that is caused to different genders, the way women don’t get paid the same as men, and how LGBT people are discriminated in the workplace.

Gender bias discrimination is a global phenomenon today. The biggest challenge, before the entire world is that of gender justice. There is no existence of a single gender bias neither in the Western world nor in traditional Asian and in the African societies. At present we stand at the residue of the 21st century but we are still unable to identify a society where there is complete gender equality.

Why there is some people who believe there is no difference when it comes to gender there really is. Women tend not to have as much equality in society as men. Gender inequality has engulfed the United States and placed copious varying roles onto the male and female sexes. According to Leila Aboulela, Minaret, “All through life there were distinctions - toilets for men, toilets for women; clothes for men, clothes for women - then, at the end, the graves are identical.” Discrimination places women into different roles and takes away numerous privileges. However in America today after more than a century of struggles by dedicated activists who fought to alter these ideals and gain further rights, the perception of women in society and their contributions to society have been greatly transformed.

For thousands of years, gender discrimination has been a problem heard around the world. It's a struggle of inequality based solely on whether you're male or female. Women are the longest affected victim of this act. They've been stamped as primarily being only housewives and mothers. Before any laws were passed against it, once a woman was married anything that belonged to her automatically became her husband's. A woman had to fight for a long time to obtain just about every right that a man did. Though it started off as mainly a problem only women faced, it not only affects females, but it now affects males too.
