The purpose of a discipline investigation assignment is to allow students to know more information of a discourse community which they will join in the future. By interviewing a professional educator, I believe that this assignment helps me understand the role of educators, responsibilities, use of languages, and working opportunities. By doing this, I can know the real world of educational community and some skills that I should focus on. Mrs. Cheng is a cordial person. She is not only my supervisor in the workplace, but also is my friend. We often talk about her experiences; however, this interview makes me understand her more. Also, after talking with Mrs. Cheng, I find that being an educator is what I want. I have not regret to change
NU 310 Critiquing evidence based assignment is a great example of the Kaplan SON RN to BSN program outcome. It is in the category of Evidence- Based Practice.
For this assignment, I had the opportunity to choose a heath care professional to shadow for the day. I choose to shadow an x-ray technologist at Spear Memorial Hospital. This assignment was very independent. I was responsible for reaching out to the individual I wanted to shadow, interviewing them, and writing them a thank you note for their time afterwards. I learned a lot about being an x-ray technologist. For example, some of their responsibilities include, doing daily quality checks for all their machines, patient orders, cross checking with other radiologists, patient exams, CEUs maintaining credits, and bringing and returning patients. I am punting this under the Independent and Responsible Learner category because I had to be very responsible
Thank you for sharing your post. I found it incredible enlightening to read how this assignment worked in a clinical setting with real clients. I enjoyed reviewing your check in questions as well as your choice to integrate a video, which I would assume is helpful for the visual learners and those new to breathing exercises. Through collectively sharing their positive coping mechanisms in response to anger, the participants are able to learn from each other. It is great that you were able to challenge the group to reflect on additional coping skills regularly utilized. It sounds to me that you were coming from a strengths perspective, encouraging them to identify their positive coping skills. This is especially important, because when
Throughout the years that ive been in school I have not ever interviewed someone and written an essay. Although it may sound scary I didn't mind at all considering the fact that it became fun when I found out what we had in common. My classmate seems to be a motivated person. We share the English Comp. 1 class together. During this interview, I discovered that Shunquiez Levingston has a set life goal, a pretty cool home hobby, and a hard working life. First, Shunquiez believe that career goals and getting education is always important. She is in college, attending UACCH, for medical office manager. For the reason of choice in career, Shunquiez's aunt works as a medical office manager herself. Her aunt is her role model, that is who she looked
(After beginning the interview and gathering information I decided to switch up my questions, and narrow them down to be more specific to her personally from what I had in my oral proposal)
For my alternative preface assignment, I have chosen to find and give feedback on a book that could possibly be the topic for next years preface program. This years preface book was “The Fire This Time” by Jesmyn Ward. The book is an assemblage of many different short essays, poems, and memoirs from many different writers. It speaks on the topic of the racial injustice that is very prevalent in America still.
To begin with, I have now spent almost all of my 2017 Fall Semester writing about my practicum experiences that I have acquired from my appointed agency, Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies (CARS) and have established my integrative assignment around the dads parenting classes. The parenting classes that are offered at CARS are constructed around the evidenced-based curriculum, Nurturing Skills for Families – which was part of the intervention phase and discussed in the preceding sections, and also recognized as, The New Connections Parenting/Drug Psychoeducational Program. Now that I have established my integrative seminar assignment, I will be explaining how I approached the intervention phase and how I evaluated the agencies parenting classes, specifically, the dads. However, before I start to explain the ending

In 2006 he was an assistant professor of chemistry, biochemistry and nanotechnology. In 2012 he was promoted to Associate professor. Also, currently he serves as a Resident Associate for Argonne National Laboratory in the Materials Science Division.
This was my first time try to interview a professor, at the beginning, I feel a little nervous about how to prepare the question and communicate with our professor, because I not a native speaker of English. The professor Betsy impressed me when first time I met her when our last Art experience class. She talk about her lovely cat and her favorite car, this makes me relax and have some understanding of her. After that she introduced her research area. She has a strong interest in the art history of Arizona, Strong research interests include women and gender, the history of professional art training, the New Deal, and the relationship between art and industry. Her lecture courses include “Women in the Visual Arts”
At one point in most of our lives we will experience some form of nostalgia, since we will eventually want to harken back to the days of old. Nostalgia and melodrama go hand in hand, since examining the past can bring in melodramatic moments or memories. Sometimes when life gets hard we look back to our younger days and wish life could be as simple as it was back than. A film full of melodrama and nostalgia comes from the late 1980’s classic Field of Dreams (1989). The film has many different examples of melodrama in the form of nostalgia but the two biggest examples come in the form of childhood family problems and the beauty of old small town America.
Christians say that Jesus taught them that they should try to change the offender to not seek revenge. The 6th commandment says people should not kill yet society would employ a paid executioner if the death penalty was re-introduced. There could be a mistake being made by an innocent person for a crime he or she did not commit, there is also evidence that this has happened in the past.
“Given these high stakes, it is no wonder the U.S. political governing immigrants admissions and rights have been the object of significant political struggle throughout American history” (Tichenor,1). This paper will talk about the technology that the border control uses, the history of the borders, and the effects on people because of the border. This story is going to educators and not-for-profit leaders hoping to open their eyes to what is going on in this world everyday. It all began with people wanting the American Dream.
The individual I chose to interview is Mrs. Felicia Colbert. She is a current assistant principal at my school. Mrs. Colbert’s experience familiarity extends from a classroom instructor to instructional educators as an assistant director. Her capability surpasses 15 years of service in and out the core content of science. Her experience in administration includes two years at middle school level and five years at a high school level as an assistant principal. I designated Mrs. Colbert as my professional to interview because I recently completed my administrator practicum under her supervision. Throughout those six months as an intern, I got to analyze just how much of an expert she is in administration leadership. Therefore,
