I'm believe that my employer discriminated against me on the basis of gender by providing me with less compensation than similarly situated white male non-Hispanic employees performing the same or similar duties. The Judicial Council of California (hereafter "JCC") employs about 815 employees throughout the State of California. There are 3 main satellite offices: Burbank, San Francisco, and Sacramento. I work in the Sacramento office.

Currently, I am employ as a Senior Court Services Analyst for the JCC. I am responsible for providing professional business process analysis and systems support work for Judicial Council and client court business applications. Business Application Analyst. But Ron is compensated significantly more than me. In fact he is compensated at $107,310 annually which is $20,988 or almost 20% higher than I. Technically, I actually perform more work and have higher productivities than Ron Swanson and have been since I was first hired in 2008. He was hired in 2006 (?) and was promoted to a Sr. BAA in 2008 (?). Ron does not lead any team members. I lead 3 team members, assign their work, and support the most complex area of the SAP HCM ERP system: Payroll and Taxes modules. I have a BS Degree in Business Management, 20 years of combined Payroll experience of which 10 years in the capacity of Supervising, 10 years of business analyst experience supporting the SAP HCM which is what I currently do. For many years, attempts at a classification and compensation for the Judicial Council of California started but never finished. In 2012, a new study started with an outside firm. The classification study was finished as of March 2015. The study finds that the job I am performing is being re-classified as a Sr. Business System Analyst effective January 2016. Additionally, the compensation study was finished on August 2015. In the email sent by HR Department on August 21, 2015, I was told that my compensation remains the same because “it falls within the salary range for your new classification”.
