Healthcare has changed a lot in the past 20 years. People now live on average at least ten years longer than they did in 1989, and medical advances have brought many breakthroughs and improvements in patient care. The healthcare fields are not only interesting and diverse, they are extremely important to the well being of humanity. First, the focus in this video was more on the prevention, collaboration and the use of technology in the health care system. The United States system is fragmented and very little attention is paid to quality, outcomes and prevention in public health, as a result people suffer preventable illnesses and preventable deaths. However, they explained ways in which these problems can be solved and how to achieve a healthier system. One of the ways is to improve the quantity and quality of life of Americans, eliminate health disparities by making sure everybody enjoys the healthcare opportunities, applying prevention from the beginning of life to the end of life and to build a good surrounding to influence the decision of making good health choices.

As part of the requirement of this assignment we used the social inquiry approach. As a self selected groups of five we began by planning the deadline for the different task and who was responsible for each task, as the first part of the social inquiry process. I find that through working as a group for this assignment we were able to utilize the strengths of each member of the group. As a result, we were able to maximize the quality of each section of the this assignment. After completing each section, we would give each other feedback and possible improvement to once again maximize the quality. To make everything easier we decided to use google doc to work on our assignment so all work is live and open for every member of the group to see.
