I think Tris should have a strength tattoo. I see it being the word strength in Japanese, all black, it would be seen on the back of her neck. I think tris should get that tattoo because she showed us all during the book how strong she can be. To me, a strong female is a woman who believes in herself, strong willed, independent, beats to her own drum, bounces back in any situation, a fighter, has self respect, humble, willing to stand up for the values she believes in. When it comes time to choose which faction she wants to belong to, her test results determine she is a divergent, or someone who carries more than one of the factions. It is her divergence that makes her a strong female character. Tris is strong-willed,
“The road of trials”aligns to Percy's challenge because the road of trials says that,"though this series of tests, preparing them for their finale showdown”. In chapter 8 page 109 paragraph 4 says “none of the practice blades fit me. ”this shows that Luke is preparing Percy for his final showdown. Another quote that shows“The road of trials”aligns to Percy's challenge because it says “. “he demonstrated the move on me in slow motion”.
In Lord of the Files, has one character that seems to be the main character in the story, but not popular in the story because Piggy is not against the people and Piggy don’t have the confidence to share a comment to a group. Because when Piggy want to share a comment, the other boy in a group ignored Piggy’s comment. And not only about the comment, but almost everything about Piggy or Piggy never in sight of everyone. But in The Lord of the Files Ralph and Piggy are friends until in Chapter1 Ralph and Piggy met before at the beach on the island and talk together about this island. Piggy is not very confident in himself and he always gets bullied.
“Faith includes noticing the mess, the emptiness and discomfort, and letting it be there until some light returns” (Anne Lamott Quotes). Unbroken, book by Laura Hillenbrand, shows the truthful of this quote. The novel is about Olympic runner and hero of the war Louie Zamperini. He survived a lot of inhuman and cruel harassments during WWII, simply believing and hoping for better times and victory of his country. By Louie’s example, author shows how faith can help to survive even in the most hopeless, wild, terrible, difficult and hard situations that can face people during their lives.
The purpose of this quote is to foreshadow what the crime does to the community and how the death of four lives not only ruins the lives of the murderers but also the townspeople. Holcomb was described in the previous paragraphs as a peaceful place where nothing bad could have ever happened. However, the author uses phases such as “lock their doors” to portray how Holcomb and the people that live there had their lives change drastically. Capote also uses the phrase “and as strangers” to show how a very close community transforms into a town where no one feels safe and secure. The effectiveness of this quote comes from how Capote describes the townspeople and what affect it has on their everyday lifestyles.
The book I choose is called, Flipped, I really think this book is amazing, but at first, I thought it was horrible. This is told in two perspectives. Bryce is the boy main character, he is new to the street and he thinks Julianna (girl main character) is a stalkerish type, however, Julianna thinks she has found the one. I think Julianna is a stalkerish and weird type
The setting of Monster is somber and anticipating. - “They take away your shoelaces and your belt so you can’t kill yourself no matter how bad it is. I guess making you live is part of the punishment.” This quote explains how it is somber because the fact that he even mentioned something like that shows how bad it is being in jail, especially as a young kid. This quote also shows how the book is anticipating because just this quote makes you want to know what he’s going to say next, or what is going to happen next. The mood of the novel is impacted by the setting because the setting is depressing and some of it shows anxiousness. It shows it by Steve writing the details of how it is in the courtroom during the trial. When he describes what
Growing up Holes “It was all because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather!” (Sachar,7). Stanley had thought and blamed his grandfather for everything especially in the book Holes by Louis Sachar. The theme is growing up because in the story Stanley loses his innocence, shows responsibility for others and himself, and shows learning by his and others mistake.
In the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, we discover that the search for now knowledge has a good and a bad side. Suffering is something we all go through at some point. We try to avoid it but our search for knowledge will always lead to suffering. In Frankenstein Victor had set out on a search for knowledge, he was relentless. His search consumed all his time, destroyed relationships, and lead to the death of not only himself but his friends and family. All of those negative effects originated from the monster Victor had created on his search for knowledge. Although Victor may have achieved his end goal, at what cost did this come to? Victor’s search
Part of your identity has become snagged by perceived insults and threats to the way you see yourself, causing inner conflict or escalating existing problems. Knowing this, we can conclude that Victor’s battle of his own insecurities led to a series of even bigger problems. To make this claim, the reader needs to know about the Victor’s character, but more so how terrifying he can be. The reader does not yet know the capacity of Victor’s love for Elizabeth. In turn, the reader does not how much regret festers inside of Victor. He suffers his own internal despise for his own monstrous creation. My topic of my essay is the numerous amounts of about conflict Victor had faced. The four topics I will be addressing are Person
1) "Hell is the absence of the people you long for", I think it applies to kristen, because we imagine hell as a place where people are alone and can't be with the people they want to or got to places they want to, also most of the time hell is imagined as a miserably prison where you can’t get what you desire. " aware each time she woke of the emptiness of the landscape, lack of people and animals and caravans around her"(pg.144), Kirsten doesn't really wanna be here, she just wants to be with the symphony and she is feeling lonely, "lack of people and animals and caravans around her", even though August is sleeping next to Kirsten, she is feeling lonely so the loneliness kirsten is feeling is not being lonely, i think it means more like she

The play Doubt written by John Patrick Shanley, revolves around the accusation that Sister Aloysius Beauvier makes toward Father Flynn. Father Flynn is accused of sexually abusing a student named Donald Muller. These accusations are fueled by Sister Aloysius dislike toward Father Flynn. Their different beliefs clash with each other since Father Flynn is open minded, and liberal while Sister Aloysius is the exact opposite, old school and conservative. All of these different beliefs and accusations lead about to a struggle power throughout the play.

Christopher McCandless stands out because he is a victim of himself. This character can be described as ignorant, stubborn, and disgruntled.
Better to die fighting for freedom then be a prisoner all the days of your life. Connor, Risa, and Lev were sent to be unwind until they ran away and started fighting for their freedom. Unwind by Neal Shusterman shows that if you want to be free you have to fight for it. The setting of "Unwind'' takes place mostly in the future state of Arizona and Ohio this can be proved by the quotes ." The blazing sun bakes the Arizona hard pan by day" and "Suburban Ohio neighborhoods never have streets that go in a straight line". The quote that I chose for mood was when Lev and CyFi got into an argument and started yelling at each other "I DIDNT STEAL THIS! he smashes the heel of his right hand against the side of his head" . The mood throughout the book has
