Helping nurses to become culturally sensitive to their patient’s diversity may be beneficial in producing positive patients’ outcomes. Cultural diversity is one of the topics that have a great effect on nursing profession. The nursing and the patient population are made of people from diverse cultures and ethnicities. The society today is becoming increasingly multicultural. According to Office of National Statistics (2012) the percentage of ethnic minorities in England and Wales in 2011 was just over 13% which shows the increase of 5% in the ten year period. The impact of cultural diversity on the society is therefore inevitable as each of the minority groups bring their own customs, religion, and language (Helman, 2000). I have never held a management/upper leadership position; unfortunately, after consulting with my friends and family, I also do not know anyone who is in a leadership position. My discussion this week will purely be how I believe diversity training should be implemented for managers.

In the article, it showed different scenarios on how cultural diversity is using in nursing practice. Also, went over how cultural diversity improve nursing care. I will use this article to help give a better understanding of what is cultural diversity nursing care.
