Hello Mr. and Mrs. ____________________,
I am contacting you regarding Sam’s recent behavior in my class. I noticed this week that Sam has appeared reserved and distant. Usually, Sam is very talkative and easily engaged during my class. On Wednesday, November 15th, 2017, Sam informed me that his mom had moved out of his family’s home and he thinks that she left because he has not been behaving well enough at home. I understand that children perceive events differently than adults and that this is very private/personal information! However, I just wanted to make you aware of the recent behavior(s) and statements that Sam has displayed during my class. It is my hope, if need be, that we can work together to resolve these concerning behaviors

I am reaching out to you because I have some major concerns with my son Braydon Thorman's education. Braydon is in Mrs. Kuithe's 3rd grade class. Braydon seems to be struggling A LOT. Braydon is a very bright kid and that is one reason I am so concerned. Braydon has ADHD and has been diagnosed sence kindergarden. He struggled mostly with being still in KG and first grade. second grade was great, we did have handwriting issues. This year however is such a set back. This is Braydons first year of getting grades and such a transition, a very very hard and stressful transition. When I first saw signs of this I requested a meeting with Mrs. Kuithe and Mrs. Montgomery. I felt good about that meeting. I felt like we really hashed out some of my concerns. He almost made honor roll, then
You have to contact with the parents. It’s tied to your APPR, you know (with a threatening tone).” I said, “Mrs. Thiam, I don’t know why you have an impression that I don’t communicate with the parents. I had meetings with Paris’s grandmother and Jayjuan’s mother; I spoke to Noah and Titus’s mother, Jamier’s mother and sent a letter to Russel’s mother, too (just to give Mrs. Thiam some examples). Evan’s problem has just started a couple of weeks ago.” Mrs. Thiam said, “You know why? It’s because of Russell. Evan sees what Russell does and Evan thinks it’s ok to do the same. So, you are contacting the parents, that’s good.” I said, “Yes, by the way Mrs. Thiam, I am the one telling students not to tell me what happened in the classroom or how bad he was. If you have good news (about Evan), share that with me. I always start new.” She did not say anything. I continued, “But when it happened (as I pointed the write up), I was very vulnerable.” Mrs. Thiam said dismissively, “Of course.” “I continued, “I do not feel safe, and I do not feel safe for the rest of the class. My job is not only to care for Evan, but also to teach and protect the rest of the class.” Mrs. Thiam said, “Of course” again
Our program provides a great foundation in influencing children’s health, which in turn fosters important areas of development, which children need in order to grow healthy and ready to succeed in school. This involves a joint collaboration between the program, families and the community by providing essential services to the children that include a nutritional meal plan, health and related services such as screenings for children and services for children that are ill.

My recommendation is to focus on the parents of the low-income teenagers who attend Glenville High School, which is where this free program will be held. This intervention will consist of 8 sessions led by trained professionals who have experience with helping caregivers improve their parenting skills and teaching parents how to communicate with and help their adolescent children.

In the last two decades divorce has increased substantially leaving couples single and families broken. Divorce is the reality for many families as there is an increase in divorce rates, cohabitation rates, and the number of children raised in step and single marital families. Divorce cannot be overlooked as it negatively affects and impacts youngsters for the rest of their lives. Although it is the decision between two parents’s children are hurt the most in the process. The concept of divorce is extremely difficult for children to understand as there are many unanswered questions and uncertainties. “Will my mom or dad remarry and who will I live with?” are concerns children express while going through divorce. Many
Chapter two describes the general education reform movement that has resulted in enhanced curriculum for all students. There has been a separate reform movement in special education that has also resulted in restructuring student placement and service delivery systems for these students. Most recently, the two reform movements are beginning to converge. The general education reform was started when a national commission report, A Nation at Risk, recommended educational improvements because U.S. students did not compare favorably in testing results with their counterparts in Japan and Germany. This has resulted in local school districts taking more direct responsibility for decision-making that would affect all students and has included a stronger parent role in advocating for change. Along with this type of school reform, there has been a focus on schools providing comprehensive services for students and families that face multiple hurdles so that families can have their needs met for social, mental and public health services and coordinated in a single point of entry- the school.
Several factors come into play when considering the impact that a divorce has on the child’s future relationships, including age at the time of the divorce, gender, upbringing, etc. For the most part however, there are a few crucial parts of a relationship that most divorces affect, whether the relationship be with a friend, family member or significant other.
Divorce is a plague that is destroying numerous families across the United States of America. Sadly, when husbands and wives divorce, the children are often caught directly in the middle. Throughout the years divorce has been becoming more and more common. In the 1920's it was a rare find to know a person whom had been divorced, today it is a rarity not to know of one who has been, or will be divorced. Divorce has numerous effects on the structures of families, and many devastating effects on the children that must experience it, although sometimes necessary, divorce radically changes the lives of adolescents and adults alike.
