Designing your own experiment
1. Make an observation: When a balloon is rubbed on someone’s head the hair on the person’s head will stand up, and if the balloon is later placed on a wall it will remain there for a certain amount of time.
2. Ask a question: Do different hair colors have different effects on static electricity?
3. Prediction: The color of hair will have different effects on static electricity, one color of hair will produce the highest amount of static electricity.
4. Hypothesis: If you have black hair then there will be a higher effect on static electricity then there would be on blonde, red, or brown hair.
5. Write up your experiment:
Materials: 4 latex balloons, 1 permanent marker, 1 clear wall space, 1 notebook, 1 black haired volunteer, 1 red haired

Fill up a total of 4 latex balloons with air by using your breath.
b. Once you have filled up each balloon make sure to tie each one with a secure knot at the end.
c. Now take a permanent marker and carefully take 1 of the 4 balloons and write black on it, take a second balloon and write blonde, then a third and write red on it and on the last balloon write brown. (You will only be doing 1 trail for each color of hair).
d. In your notebook, create a table with 2 columns and 5 rows the left column will be used for the 4 different colors of hair
(Black, blonde, red, brown) and the second column will be labeled as time. This will be where you will write how long each balloon stuck to wall for each hair color.
e. Take one of the balloons marked black and on your black haired volunteer rub the balloon on his/her head 30 seconds (make sure to use a timer).
f. Once you have finished rubbing the balloon for the designated time on your volunteer’s head the hair will be standing up. You will then take the balloon and stick it to a clear wall space. Now take your timer and time how long the balloon stays on the wall, once the balloon begins to fall off the wall stop your

I will purchase all the materials for the experiment and then perform the experiment. I will pour oil in three bowls and then out each detergent in a bowl. Pictures will be taken after each detergent is in a bowl. I will also observe all three bowls after and se which detergent broke up the oil the best. All data will be recorded in the data table.
Box 3.2: Why do it this way? is especially relevant, as it considers an important advantage of the experimental method. Chapter 6: No experiments are discussed in this chapter, however, the essay question requires you to discuss the value of experiments. Consider if there are certain aspects of human behaviour and/or performance that cannot be meaningfully investigated using experiments. What are the alternative methods of studying behaviour? Sections 2 and 3 of Chapter 6 are relevant in this respect.
For the second part of your assignment, you will apply the scientific method to a real-life situation. You will select a problem that leads to a testable question, similar to the scenarios presented in Part I and explain how you would follow each step of the scientific method to try and answer the question or solve the problem. Note: you are describing only what you would do at each step; you will not be conducting the experiment.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all hair is braided. Secure the end with a hair tie.
Write theories for each of your experiments performed here. They may not be the same as anyone else!
Measuring with your fingers helps to make your balloon animal come out in the correct proportions.
Second, have the four people you are testing on come over. Have the four people all sit down at the table. Then give one person a black and white memory photo and start the timer for one minute. When the minute is up give the person a piece of paper and have them write down what they remembered. They have one minute to do this. Next give them a memory photo with a green see-through clipboard on top. Have them look at this photo for one minute. When the minute is up replace the photo with a piece of paper. Give them one minute to write down what they remembered on the piece of paper. Then you will need to give the person a memory photo with a pink see-through clipboard on top. Then take the photo from them and give them a piece of paper. Give them one minute to write down what they remembered off of the photo.
Lastly, I will be using a piece of string which will be the same piece of string used throughout the experiment.
The materials consisted of two poster boards that were placed in two different rooms before the start of the experiment. One poster board, the neutral list, was placed outside of the classroom, down the hall and around the corner, while the incongruent word list was placed inside the classroom on the white board.
.:6. Design a (hypothetical) experiment that adheres to the Scientific Method. Be sure to include all the necessary requirements at each step and give examples at all of the steps. Start with an observation, whether it’s real or made up, state the null hypothesis, and design an experiment (including an experimental and control group, random sampling, sample size, and reproducibility) that will allow the student to reject or fail to reject the hypothesis, and state the conclusion (20 points.)
2. Bring the Styrofoam cup close to another person's hair. What do you observe? What conclusions can you make regarding charged Styrofoam?
i will explain the methos i will use in my Project, first is to do an observation of your Project how to see it then, we have to ask the questions how, when we finish the observation we ask questions if we dont understand something when we finish of asking question we have to do the hypothesis we need to do the experiment we need to get all the stuff for your experiment with lets say you are doing a expeiment with ice and chocolate you need to bring the ice and chocolate you need to bring the ice and chocolate for the Project to work or the experiment will not work and then conclusión, conclusión is when you you just write what will happen with the experiment, maybe it will explode maybe it will not work. This is the scientific method that
B. Restate Thesis: You must follow the three main steps to create your tie dye creation, for a significant outcome. Get your materials thats needed together, prep your dye and materials as well. And allow your finish product to sit, for it’s best outcome.
They are given several minutes to explore. Students must find a desirable question to research and conduct the experiment based on their observations.
