The type of prison function that represents the film is Punishment system, because is a type of prison that shows the methods of how they control the inmates. Also by punishing the prisoners in a way to control and stop the problem and take them to the dark room for a week or more. 2. What design do you think the Shawshank prison had and why? The design of prison that Shawshank had is a type of Cell units. Because it shows a pattern of cell next to each other divided in sections with 2 inmates per each cell unit. Also it shows how the inmates eat all together in the cafeteria with guards at the top of the room and the sidewalls. 3. Also it shows how the guards work and control the problems between inmates. 4. Describe the classification system as represented in the film. I think the classification system that represents the film was a type of maximum-security level with and focusing on punishment function system. How I explained before Shawshank have these two systems the high level security and punishment function system showing how they control the problem and maintain the order between the inmates, but at the same time is a type of function that explain how the in 1900’s the prison system work back them and the type of the prison design as a cell units.
