This year during wrestling I was captain of the team, and this was a big responsibility since being captain is a big deal. Being captain isn’t about giving commands to people as you please or hazing people who aren’t as good as you. It’s a whole lot more than that. To be a captain or leader, you must show good examples, give advice when teammates are struggling, inspire teammates, and the list goes on. Many different qualities are required to be a successful leader like having good focus, being strong, having confidence, patience, and many more qualities. In the end it all comes down to a leader leading his team to victory. Its sound easy, but it depends on the leader, and the teammates trust into that leader.
Cheer Captain Essay 11/28/17 To be a cheer captain, there are many responsibilities and priorities. To be a captain you have to be strong and not afraid to try new things. You need to have a great positive attitude the whole time and not let the drama start on the team. You have to make sure your team is ready for games and practices and make sure everyone knows what they are doing and if not to take it slowly until they get it. Being a captain is a lot of responsibilities but it’s an amazing opportunity. I think I am fit to be the captain, because I can bring all these priorities or tasks in with me. I know not to let my feelings drag the team down and I know that you always have to keep a smile on your face.

Abby taught me so much just by comforting me, and if I can impact just one teammate in the same way she did for me, I’d feel so proud. If a girl is feeling down about a match, if she's feeling discouraged, if she's doubting herself, I want to be there to pump her up. Tennis, like all sports, is such a mental game, and if you're not in the right mindset, you're not able to play your best. Encouragement and example are the two main things that I would focus on as a tennis captain. If it's a grueling, hot day for practice I want to be able to motivate the girls to push on and I want to show them that I can still try my hardest even if the weather is against
Team Sports Captains: Effective Leadership Roles Captains of sports teams are given the stereotype that they are the most athletic player on the team, scoring the most goals and handling the ball best. In truth, captains have a lot of work they have to do that doesn't even involve playing the sport. Captains are the most looked at player of the game; other players, younger kids and coaches look to them to set examples. They have to set examples in every aspect of the game; athleticism might be part of their job but it is not limited to it. The captain of any sports team must set the leadership standard for commitment, confidence, intelligence, and attitude.
Even though I’m not wanting to lead the ACO, I would if need be to lead the efforts to form an ACO. I would push the issue of why ACO is needed in our community, and the benefits that the ACO will bring. The ability to improve population
Becoming captain had tons of responsibility and many tasks to complete and I knew I wanted that position. Before I auditioned for captain I just thought you had to perform a routine in front of the three judges and they would choose whoever was the best and spinning their equipment and dancing. Also, I thought the band director would use favoritism and choose whoever he wanted as captain. I was very close with the band director, but I wanted him to choose who deserved captain not just who he likes the most out of the girls that auditioned for captain.

Being a Good Leader in the Marines “In order to be a good leader, there are two things to remember. Lead from the Front and always set the Example. From these two leadership principles, everything else will fall into place.”
One of my goals is to be a leader in a business organization. Being the captain of the swim team sets a concrete foundation of what being a leader is like in a business organization. As the captain I have to make sure everyone is accounted for, keep morale high, talk about issues about an individual on the swim team, and fix said problem. This shows responsibility, character, and sympathy. These are core values that all leaders must have to be successful. Without them, they will

Aspects Essential in Identifying the Appropriate Members for a Team and Ensuring the Team Is Successfully Launched
Why do you want to be a SET leader? I would love for the opportunity to be a SET leader because my SET leader made such an impact on my new member experience. Maddy Hill, my SET leader, is so passionate and truly displays the role of a Kappa Delta member. During new member period, she constantly asked us if we were okay and was always there for a helping hand. She has inspired me to want to become a SET leader. I think being a SET leader would be an amazing opportunity because it is a great way to meet the new members and serve as a leader for them during the transition. I would love the opportunity to be an amazing SET leader, and make the new member experience unforgettable, just as Maddy did for me.
When he yells, he strikes fear into his comrades. Along with leading by example, a captain should be able to speak up. When a teammate is harming the team he should speak up and let them know to stop what they are doing or to leave. A leader shouldn’t be quite and expect people to listen and follow them, he needs to speak up and take action.
