Wrigley, Orbit, and Hubba Bubba are all amazing gum brands that kids, Adults, and elders love to chew on. There is just one problem, most kids and some adults spend most of their time in school where they are not able to chew gum therefore, I would like to change that rule. If there could be one rule that I could change in society I would change the rule for no chewing gum in school. Of course there are a bunch of reasons for my disagreement. One of them is that teachers don't understand that chewing gum makes kids smarter. It is a known study that was declared by scientist that through a process of mastication-induced arousal the brain is triggered letting you be more focused. There is also another study that was proved correct. This study
I definitely agree with you on the idea that gummy vitamins are more appealing to children. Many of my friends growing up would take gummy vitamins whereas I did not, and I know that I would often avoid taking my vitamins whereas they would always gladly take theirs as they associated them with the candy gummy bears. However, although this product may be effective in the fact that in insures that children take their vitamins, I feel skeptical of the fact that they a good source of nutrients for children as the advertisement for the gummy vitamins did not offer any evidence that the product was a good choice for children's vitamins. When I looked at the official website for the L'il Critters gummy vites, it offered very little information
Tobacco is becoming to be a huge problem in the middle school. . Tobacco contains more than 4,000 different chemicals. EXPLAIN IT. A. Studies also show that because the brain is still in the development process, and if you choose to start smoking, it will cause lower grades in school. So, why not help students do better in school? Not only smoking causes health problems, but it also causes short life expectancy. If you help them now, all youth will have a chance of a longer, and a happier life!
re One reason kids should be allowed to chew gum at school.Chewing gum helps kids stay more focus at school. For example One study even showed that students who chew gum during a test scored higher than those who did not. Kids should be able to chew gum to pay more attention. “Experts even say that students do better in school because gum makes students more at ease”. Students do better in school with chewing gum because it helps them concentrate. Gum is helping kids think in school and work harder.
Also, gum could very easily destroy very expensive technology that we have the privilege to use at our school.
Chewing gum in school is a heated issue because many people think it is rude and messy. Others argue it can help students focus, improve memory when taking tests, and relax while doing schoolwork or a test. But the negative argument is misguided because the mess wouldn’t happen if students were allowed to have gum, and therefore throw it away without feeling guilty. Still, the actual question that should be debated is what the benefits of chewing gum in school are.
Purpose : The purpose for this project explores whether chewing gum can benefit a majority of people with focus and concentration.
An increasing number of students today are showing more signs of anxiety, stress, and ADHD. A solution to the issue is allowing children to chew gum while in the classroom. Evidence shows that the process of chewing gum increases the blood flow to the brain and heart as well as increases saliva in the mouth, which gives the individual certain advantages. Students should be allowed to chew gum while in the classroom because they demonstrate increased memory and alertness, higher test scores and concentration, as well as decreased stress and anxiety (Pooley, Smith).
Another, reason kids and students should be able to chew gum during school is it has also been scientifically proven to help improve the students memory. For example, when students are studying for a test it could help them remember what they studied about. Next, it can also help them remember what they learned that day during school thanks to they were
Everyone loves sugar filled snacks, especially children. A kid’s day can be made so much better just by handing them their favorite candy bar. This is something students looked forward to during their school day. Sadly, this was made to change. Schools started banning snacks, and drinks based on their unhealthy effect they have on individuals. According to Beverly Ballaro and Ann Griswold in "Junk Food in Schools: An Overview,” this change occurred when Michelle Obama launched her project for healthy eating in 2010. Let’s Move! Was her way to fix child obesity in America. This directed schools to feed children healthier options, and twice as many vegetables or fruit. This was not a necessity for public schools across the United States. Students should not be limited to what they eat in school. As long as they are being fed their basic lunch, it should not be important what they decide to snack on.
We tested three different brands of bubble gum. The three brands are Bubble Yum, Bazooka, and Bubblicious. There were 3 people that blew bubbles for our experiment. My Mom, Dad, and myself were the three bubble blowers. We each read a couple of articles on the best way to blow big bubbles. We then chewed each piece of gum for three minutes before blowing the bubble. We used a ruler to measure the diameter of the bubble in centimeters. Through my research, I believe that the bubble gum with the highest sugar content will blow the biggest bubble.
One reason why I believe gum should be allowed at school is because studies have proven that it increases grade point average. Baylor College of Medicine studied 108 eighth graders for 14 straight weeks. Half of them chewed gum during school work and homework while the other half didn’t. They noticed a three percent raise in the grades of those who chewed gum. If we were allowed to chew gum during school work and tests but then had to spit it out at the door when class was over, our grades would also have the chance to increase. For this reason I believe that chewing gum would be beneficial to students with memory problems that need a little extra boost to help them reach their full potential. This way teachers and students would both benefit for this new rule.
My first reason as to why we should be allowed to chew gum is because it can help certain people focus better. The more focused you are the more accurate and aware you are. Chewing gum also makes you answer questions far more quickly correctly. Finally, if you chew gum than you can focus longer meaning that you could take in more information. I usually have a hard time focusing so even if these
When you have gum in school it can make to much noise and you can distract
Johnson. Johnson utilized control and non-control groups, children who ate sugary snacks versus non-sugary snacks. This experiment was performed in a laboratory setting, which introduced manipulation, the sugary snack. The sugary snack allowed for an assessment of the cause and effect relationship that may or may not exist between the children whom were and were not active. After placing the children in the mock classroom there was no significant difference in activity level in the class. This was an experimental design study, which seeks to discover causal relationships between two factors. The pros of this experiment are that it allows to determine a cause and effect, although there was none in this case. A definite con of this experiment is that it was manipulated. This concluded that sugar intake is not the cause of the hyperactivity of the
