Does Rap Music Cause Appropriate Behavior?

The rap music today does not make sense anymore, it takes away from the love of music and poetry. It's not good for the mind and can cause people mental issues that can turn into physical just like certain video games such as Mafia and Grand Theft Auto. When I listen to today's rap music, it's because I am interested in the beat. Otherwise, I could care less on the lyrics. There is no meaning in today's rap music. I prefer to listen to Old School rap music because it made sense, they rapped about life and having fun, without making the listeners feel angry. Besides from hearing mumbling words and explicit lyrics in today's rap music, there is also violence in the lyrics as well. Hearing violence lyrics in rap music started in the late 1980's to early 1990's. Mostly, everybody has heard the song "Straight Outta Compton", as well as having a movie named after the song title. But there's a song that really sticks to mind that people, have might not heard about. In 1992, Ice-T released a song titled "Cop Killer". The song is about basically about killing cops. Ice-T called it a "Protest Song", while others thought about it more in an offensive way. Former President, George H.W. Bush, thought it would cause some big riot-based on police brutality. Although, people can base The First Amendment on the song. But then again, it sends a bad message to young people, especially for African Americans who live in poor communities and African Americans in general. Although, that happen in the 1990's with the riots going on in California, the song could still be brought up today.
