Dog Missing since 1940 Returns, Bites Master. I had a wonderful childhood. My parents took care of me. We went camping a lot. Bills were always paid on time and food was always on the table. The best thing my parents did for me was get me a lifelong friend. A german shepherd for a best friend, protection, and a caretaker. It was the best gift of all.
I named the german shepherd Duke! We did absolutely everything together. There was never a dull moment. We would wrestle, run, and take long walks in the park. The dog never left my side unless I was going to school. Then my parents would have to put him on a chain or he would run after the bus!
There was many days Duke got off the chain and would be waiting for me at the school. The school was all the way across town I had no idea how he found me. I would have to miss the bus to walk him home. Like I said we spent every minute together almost. Duke was the best dog anyone could ask for.

The bills and food on the table began to get bad. The house started falling apart. It was time for us to move. My parents found a house about three hours away. We had no choice but to start packing.
We packed all of our belongings and my parents had Duke in the back yard chained up. They told me to leave him there overnight that we had to many breakables out. So I obeyed them and put a pillow on the couch to sleep on because we are leaving in the morning. I look out the window one last time to make sure Duke is still there. He sat there laying in the dog house whimpering. I returned back to the couch to
My childhood was pretty fun, I would always go to dairy queen and hang out at the pool with my friends, so I think it was a pretty good childhood.
"We picked out this baby girl's name when I was pregnant with our first. I met a woman and her dog, and I loved her dog's name. Funny enough, it was the name she had picked out if she had a girl, but she had boys, so she used it for her dog instead. Here we are 3.5 years later, and we are going to use that name for our little girl!"she said 4weeks ago: sheknows.com.
When I was eight years old my family and I owned a dog by the name of Beefy. One afternoon someone mistakenly left the garage door open. Beefy being the adventurous black labrador he is, scurried away down the street and throughout the neighborhood. After a few days have passed, Beefy still did not return.
My childhood was very hard. At the age of 17, I was an orphan. My mother was a writer and my father was a minister, author and professor of Latin, Greek and philosophy. My mother died and then, three years later, my father died. I went to live with my aunt. My brothers died and I was heartbroken.
We called him Tank. He was just sent to the Fort Myers ASPCA from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was alone and homeless after the Hurricane Katrina destroyed his hope for a future. It was fate that he was meant to be with our family. Seeing all of the good that was done to get my new puppy a forever home struck a place in my heart and made me appreciate all of the awesome work that this organization has done, not only for my dog, Tank, but also for the millions of other animals desperate for a better future. This is why I chose to feature the ASPCA and the many things that they do to make a difference in our world
What defines an excellent childhood? Childhood is the precious time in which children should live free from fear, go to school, and have fun. My childhood memories mostly take place in New York because that is where I grew up and where the journey started. I didn’t move to California not until I was nine years old. I had a fun adventure going from state to state learning about their
I felt that my parents dragged me to a place where I didn’t want to be. The three of us moved to NYC, and the first three months we were all compacted into one single bedroom, trying to start a new life. It was a drastic change from the way we lived back in Colombia, each having their own separate bedroom.
When Morgan came home with us, so did her brother. His original name was Mozart, but since my mom couldn’t pronounce that, we just called him Bruno. It was such an exciting day for both of them to come home, except for the fact that we had to prepare the dog we already had, Dopey, to meet them. Throughout the months they all got used to each other being around, so we didn’t have to worry about leaving them home alone.
We were doing all of our tasks perfectly fine now. But, it was time for another family meeting……. we were going to move in two weeks. Disbelief at first, then sadness, then anger, then sadness again.
I was sitting in our kitchen, about to eat, when my aunt went it. I ran over to her, happy to see her, and in her hands was a small, black and brown chihuahua. My aunt told me he weighed one pound. Of course, I immediately held him. I couldn’t resist. He was such a cutie! With pointy ears, big black eyes, and a small nose, he was the center of attention at our house. The puppy didn’t have a name yet, so we tossed around a few names. None of them were a good name for the pup.
Despite my objections, we visited a breeder who had a litter of Golden Retriever puppies. We chose one during that visit, and we named her Karma. All summer, my sister and I had to
We found out about my mom finding a better job a few months before the end of the school year. We planned on moving soon after my sister and I got out of school for the summer. We were all pretty devastated that we had to leave Vero Beach, Florida. It was pretty much the only home I ever had, except for the year or two I lived in Fort Pierce, Florida, but that was when I was only one and two. After that, we moved to Vero Beach. For the next seven or eight years, we lived in Vero Beach, till we had to move of course. Soon after we found out about my mom finding a better job we began
Another time, he was in the backyard and saw the huge german shepard in his backyard behind ours. Husker wanted to play so he decided to run over into this huge, intimidating animals territory. The dog attacked him, leaving a scar on his stomach. Finally we got Husker back into our yard but he ran over again. You would think by the time you got scarred, you would learn your lesson but no, he was so excited to have someone to play with he ran over a second time. Luckily, he didn’t get mauled to death, which could’ve easily happened. I could go on with stories of his adventures but I have a whole other dog to share about.
After an hour of playing with him we still couldn’t get over the moment of us getting him. My mom got each of us a toy to give to him. I gave him a red lobster and my two sisters gave him bones. I also got my dog a bone, water, and food on that Christmas morning. Since Toby always bark, I cannot wait until he comes inside. Finally, he stopped barking. For a long time, I did not know if he was ever going to stop barking. We were in the happiest house on the street that day, our house was almost dancing. One big memory I have with my dog was putting him in the back of my Tonka truck and driving him around for
My parents got my dog in 2001, (before both me and my sister were born) so he was like my brother in dog form. We called him Tori instead of Torino most of the time. Tori
