I asked Wright to explain what occurred between her and Haug. She immediately said nothing occurred. I proceeded to ask her why she was at the residence. Wright gave two different explanations why she came to the residence. The first reason was because she was intoxicated (Note: There was a strong odor of alcohol on her breath) and did not want to drive home to her residence in Murphysboro. She stated she was going to park in the driveway and sleep it off, in her car. Wright changed her story and gave a second reason she came to the residence. The second was because she wanted to come over to the residence to talk with Haug. Wright stated she lived at the residence but recently moved out. Wright said her and Haug split up two days ago. Wright stated she moved all of her belongings out and no longer had any property at the residence. Wright did leave some minor property at the residence, but nothing of significance that she wanted to keep. Wright said when she arrived at the residence, Haug was outside seated in a chair in the yard. Wright said that nothing physical happened. Wright denied making any contact with Haug. I asked to see Wright’s hands to look for any marks to substantiate Haug’s statement of getting punched in the mouth. Wright did not have any marks or injuries on her hands or anywhere

However the truth is that the abuse can come from either person male or female.
