This has made conservative Latino voters feel as though their views are not being represented well. Trump describes Mexican immigrants that are in the U.S. illegally as "criminals, rapists, and drug traffickers" (Kalid, 2015). He also advocates taking away the 14th amendment, which grants citizenship to those born in the U.S. This has led to other candidates to chime into their own views and opposition of immigration.

While some argue that changes should be made to the 14th amendment, others argue that immigrants are major contributors to the United States economy. Over the recent years, rising immigration numbers have been seen however, the impact on the US has shown more pros than cons. There should not be any more restrictions to the 14th amendment because having those hard-working Americans has played a significant role such as supporting the US need for economic growth, education, and innovation-essential skills.

According to Lily Galanis-Olaez (494), she examines Latinos involvements in their Children school have difficult of involving themselves in their children’s education process because the schools do not help them in effective way. She writes that “parents of Latina/o children, who have different cultural linguistic background, find it difficult of involve themselves in the child’s schooling when vehicles do not exist to encourage their participation” (Lily, 2015, p.494).

During the 2016 presidential election, unauthorized immigration was at the center of the discussion leading to the rise of a populist candidate, Donald J. Trump, who was eventually elected to the White House by capitalizing on the fears and dissatisfaction of many Americans. It was the criminalization of the problem with unauthorized immigration which hit a nerve with many Americans because of the frustration with the problem, among other political issues. Many native born Americans do not have complete knowledge and understanding of immigration laws and policies and the bureaucracy within immigration agencies.
Latinos are one of the most astronomically immense growing ethnic groups in the United States yet they are not able to obtain the same type of care or avail like the other groups. On top of that about a moiety of these individuals are undocumented meaning that they are not in the US illicitly and about a little less than a majority of them are children.
Over a century ago, the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution was implemented to grant citizenship to individuals born within the country. This was the first time that it was defined what it means to be a citizen in the U.S. While the amendment was created to address the citizenship of slaves, it is currently under speculation in regards to granting U.S. citizenship to children born to undocumented immigrants (Gans, 2012). While there have been many arguments to place restrictions or eradicate granting children of undocumented immigrants U.S. citizenship, the constitutional right remains the same: if you are born on U.S. land, you are a citizen (Angelo, 2013). This paper argues that the birthright citizenship of U.S. born children of undocumented immigrants should continue to be granted based on the underlying principles of the 14th Amendment and the possible implications of ending birthright citizenship. First, this paper describes birthright citizenship and the 14th Amendment, as well as its use in several Supreme Court cases that are significant to this issue. Then, various implications of eradicating birthright citizenship are discussed. Before discussing the possible consequences of eradicating birthright citizenship, it is imperative to discuss the history and principles underlying it.
To clarify, why don’t we start a small introduction about this guy and his speeches about immigration. First of all, Trump is a candidate for president of the United States, which is in a high position to speak up for things that may be causing many problems in the USA. As a candidate, Trump must say what he is willing or going to do after becoming a president of the United Sates. These children, via their birthright citizenship, act as anchor babies and can, upon reaching the age of majority, facilitate bringing their extended family into the US in order to obtain citizenship.
