Should Donald Trump Be President?

We have a major decision to make, as on every leap year, but this generation of voters has the largest presidential decision in history. Who should be our president? Donald Trump should not be president because he has not paid income taxes, insults people over the internet, and has broken other laws. Electing Donald Trump will have effects such as unfair tax rates, hostile and weak world relations, and the allowance of broken laws without being caught. Despite arguments to the contrary, electing Donald Trump as president is a poor decision.

According to the article, "What Trump Tax Report Could Mean for His Campaign," this will "also undermine Trump's self-image as a consummate deal maker and business man. He repeatedly argues that he has created a 'great company' worth billions of dollars." (Stephen Collinson, Jeremy Diamond, and Karl de Vries, CNN, 7) This makes it clearer that he is NOT a politician, which means Trump doesn’t have the experience he needs to have the role of president. "Donald Trump once rented office space to an Iranian bank that was linked to sponsoring terrorist groups," reports Jeva Lange in her article, 'Trump Rented Office Space to Iranian Bank Tied to Terrorism', also stating its source, "a report from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and the non-profit, non-partisan Center for Public Integrity has found." In other words, he is illegally renting to an Iranian bank. The article also states, "At the time the U.S. forbid Americans from doing business (and taking rent) from Iranian companies." (Jeva Lange, 1) This activity of renting to Iran is illegal.
