Imagine if America had affordable education, improved healthcare, and a thriving economy. Life would be easier especially for middle-class families and like Donald Trump, an average American who transformed his family company, The Trump Organization, into a renowned company. Donald Trump was born on June 14th, 1946 in Queens, New York and was the fourth of five children of his hard-working parents, Fred and Mary Trump. Trump was sent to New York Military Academy for his high school years and then went on to Fordham University and then transferred two years later to the Wharton School of Finance where he graduated with a degree in economics. Education in America is very important. The issue about it is that people in power are discussing whether Common Core State Standards should be eliminated, free college tuition, school choice for students, and student debt. Donald Trump’s stand on the issue about Common Core is that he supports returning the education policy to the states and to eliminate the Common Core Standards. Trump has plans set out to improve the cost of college education in America: “Work with Congress on reforms to ensure universities are making a good faith effort to reduce the cost of college and student debt in exchange for the federal tax breaks and tax dollars” (DonaldJTrump). In addition to this, Trump supports education vouchers that will allow students to attend schools that fit their need whether it be a private school, public school, charter school or any other learning environment that is suitable for them: “I will establish the national goal of providing school choice to every American child living in poverty and create a $20 billion block grant that would expand charter and private school options for low-income children” (CBSNews). Trump states that he wants local education to make education great as he refers to the Common Core Standards as “education through Washington, D.C.” (NYTimes). A woman from humble beginnings who has served as secretary of state, the U.S Senator of New York, First Lady of the former President Bill Clinton, First Lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and an activist who believed and fought for many things. She has gained much political experience being in this field of work, passionately helping people ever since her twenties. Her passion for helping other people and her vision for this country to become successful has become obvious as she is now a democrat candidate for the 2016 Presidential elections. Clinton’s supporters know to support her because of her political experience. However, others know regardless of her experience, that she is not to be relied on. Hillary was accused of an email scandal because she had used her family’s email server for official communications rather than the official State Department email accounts maintained on federal servers: “I’ve said I [blew it],” she said, adding, “I made a mistake. I should’ve had two accounts, one for personal and one for office. And I didn’t, and I take responsibility for that” (People). The FBI were going to take additional investigative steps into these emails but later had the same conclusion on the case; saying Clinton should not face criminal charges. This is the second time Clinton has been cleared by the FBI over her use of a private email server while secretary of state.
