Donald Trump is an unsuitable candidate to run for the Presidency of the United States. In 2016 the country will vote for a new President. Since the 1980’s the candidates that decided to run have come from more diverse backgrounds. In 1980 President Ronald Regan ran for the Presidency and was elected for two terms. President Regan started his career as a radio host and then became an actor who turned politician. He was elected Governor of California in 1967 and again in 1970. He did not run for a third term as Governor, instead he turned his attention to the GOP nomination for the White House. Trump was born on June 14 1946, in Queens, New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career working for his father’s real estate company, Elizabeth Trump and Son in 1968 and in 1971 he took control of the company renaming it The Trump Organization. Since then the company has grown to be one of the largest real estate companies in the U.S. According to the October edition of Forbes, Trump’s estimated wealth is 4.5 billion, while the Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimated a net worth of 2.9 billion. Prior to his announcement that he was running for the GOP candidacy Trump released a statement to the media claiming he was worth over eight billion dollars. However his actual wealth is very hard to gauge, he declared in July 2015 that his net worth was ten billion dollars, but in July the Federal election regulators reported that his assets were worth approximately 1.4 billion and a debt of at least 265 million. Like so much about Donald Trump it is hard to tell what is real, what is embellished, what is misleading and what is an outright lie.
