Romeo and Juliet is a tragic tragedy with two lovers from feuding families meeting their tragic ends. Romeo is son to Montague, patriarch of the Montague family. Juliet is daughter of Capulet, head of the Capulet family. The Capulets and Montagues are long time rivals that are constantly fighting. Romeo falls in love with Juliet when he sees her at a party hosted by the Capulet family. Shortly after they meet, Romeo and Juliet fall in love instantly. Within a days time, Romeo and Juliet marry each other in secret. The only problem being, Juliet has been promised to Count Paris. In attempt to escape from the promised marriage, Juliet fakes her own death with help of the monk who married her to romeo. Marriage is a big theme in Romeo and Juliet throughout the earlier acts. Marriage is at fault because if not for Juliet's parents forcing her into an unwanted marriage she would not have needed such a drastic solution. As shown in Document C (Act IV, Scene i), “Tell me not, friar, that thou hear’st of this, Unless thou tell me how I may prevent it….God join’d my heart and Romeo’s, thou our hands….”. This moment is where Juliet asks Friar Lawrence's help and tells him about the arranged marriage. Also, if not for the pressures of marriage, Juliet may have not been so quick to fall in “love” with Romeo. Juliet may not have even gotten with Romeo if not for her mother asking her to find a suitor in Document B (Act I, scene iii) “Well think of marriage now; younger than you, Here in verona, ladies of esteem, Are made already mothers: by my count, I was your mother much upon these years That you are now a maid. Thus in brief: The valiant Paris seeks you for his love….What say you? can you love the gentlemen? This night you shall behold him at our feast;...Speak briefly, can you like of Paris’
