Dr. Albert’s speech was by far my favorite speech at this event. The way she spoke with confidence and used rhetorical devices not only captivated me, but it also motivated me and I left the confident about applying the lessons I learned to my life. Dr. Albert closed out the conference by giving the audience what she calls the Eight Game Changing Pearls of Life. The Eight Pearls are to know your leadership style, to understand that excellence is the standard, to chart your own course in life, to understand that all leaders acknowledge the power of gratitude, to create career paths, to keep your sense of humor, to be an effective communicator, and to love in the notion to have an authentic lifestyle. Hearing what Dr. Albert had to say about working above your pay grade made me realize that being volun-told to do certain tasks is not a negative trait at all. This also reminded me of my mother, who is a Senior Chief in the Navy. Growing up, I have always noticed my mother is a hard worker, but I never understood why she had numerous amounts of work, but now I realize it is because she works above her pay grade. Exceeding your pay grade enables many opportunities to further your advancement in a career, which is why it vital to accept positions even when you are uneasy about the outcome. Based off the Game Changing Pearls, I know that I need to work on my career plan. By December 2016, my goal is to have a career plan for after I graduate in order. At this point in my life, I have a general idea of what I want to do, but I do not have any guidance about how to get to my career goals. Therefore, my plan is to schedule an appointment with Career Services for internship and post-graduation job search help. After listening to the presentation on interviewing by Career Service Representative, I learned about all the service they offer, and make a note that I would utilize their LinkedIn, Mock Interview, and Cover Letter appointments. As mentioned earlier, I will do this be utilizing their drop-in hours and online services by using

In our lifetime a lot of unusual things will happen, some good and some bad. My speech in particular is about one of the bad things that has happened in our parents, maybe even grandparents lifetimes. This case is frightening and disturbing, but the most shocking part is how he doesn’t remember what he did or how he did it. All he remembers is being taken into custody and an abnormal loss of teeth. My information is from “my life among the serial killers”, written by Helen Morrison, an interview from CBS news, and an article written by one of the detectives assigned to the case. In “my life among the serial killers”, Morrison tells about her time hypnotizing “Baby faced” Richard Macek and the horrifying story of what he did.

The passage of time continues its long journey as present becomes the past. We, as humans, have always viewed the past as a valuable asset capable of assisting us towards greater heights. We, therefore, strive to preserve our history in order pass it to the next generation, without alterations. To accomplish such a task, our society created monuments—structures that would last for long periods of time and would be able to preserve our memories, understandings and perception of an event and/or a significant personality. Consequently, our country harbors countless monuments and memorials which allow us to understand own history, and comprehend the numerous achievements and sacrifices of those who served the country.
Reigning NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, refused to attend the customary tradition of visiting the White House after their championship victory. To make a statement, the team took young kids to an African American history museum; this decision made in hope to inspire the public that sports and athletes can impact change. Recurring issues involving racial profiling, discrimination, and police brutality, have fueled a historical timeline with professional athletes protesting social oppression. The position of fame held by an athlete intensifies the athlete’s performance, words, or actions, drawing a wide range of the world’s attention. The athlete’s voice, when amplified onto a public platform, is imperative in shedding a light on social

The messages presented by Greg Bell and Ricardo Semler were very unique and enjoyable. Both speakers did a fantastic job utilizing real world applications to build a stronger connection with their audience as well as their viewers. As Bell mentioned, each of us are miracles and to recognize this is extremely valuable both in the workplace and for our daily lives. As a reminder that we are each miracles Bell states we shall, “follow our hearts, clear our minds, and take care of our bodies.” We are the builders of our foundations. Every move we make and every step we take are the building blocks to making our hopes and dreams come true. It is important that we never lose sight of our hopes and dreams, and that we are patient, persistent,
Towns wasn’t the only person to speak about sager’ s passing, thousands of people took to social media to remember Sager was a lot more than just a person in colorful suits. When I personally heard about Craig Sager passing away I couldn’t help but think it will never be anybody able to take his place because he simple tried his past to make everybody smile and brought his A game every night even when his back was against the wall. He was loved by many people from all over the world and it still kind of bothers me when I ask people who he is and they truly have no idea.
We know so little. There are so few facts recorded, we don’t even know her name but I can tell you we know her impact and can feel her work stretching through decades and centuries to continue to inspire and shape the lives of people today. This is Julian of Norwich.
I am a former student in the Early Childhood Department. I would like to see if you would have time to talk with me about my degree, I never finished it and would like to return so I can work on it. While I was attending college to obtain my Early Childhood degree I was offered a job as a Kindergarten teacher at a small private school, which I took and never returned to college because the extra activities that went along with the job were just to time consuming. I worked as a Kindergarten teacher for 10 years where I gain valuable experience in working with children. I think I only had just 2 courses to finish the whole degree. I did receive my Early Childhood Diploma, and every certificate that was offered, and I took every
I was speaking to Dr. Murray today and I have been asking him to give me propofol. I just want to sleep. I don’t know why but I have the feeling Doctor Murray knows what I have been thinking about which is suicide. I haven’t slept in about 30 days, and with everything that I am thinking I feel like I should have told Doctor Murray what has been keeping me up all these nights. Maybe that could’ve helped just a bit, guess we will never know.
