In the satirical novel, “Dealing with Dragons”, written by Patricia C. Wrede it focuses on how Cimorene went against her expected routine as a Medieval princess. Cimorene was justified in ignoring the acquired social norms of the Medieval Society because, she could be independent in her own life without limits, there were endless opportunities for her, and she wouldn’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations.
As humans, we all possess great qualities. We develop memories that we can cherish forever. Hopes and dreams help us strive to do great things. However, we all have our demons that we all tend to conceal. The famous poem “Beowulf” is renowned for the battles against Beowulf and many monsters. The battles in the poem pose as metaphorical battles. Beowulf defeating the monsters represent him trying to overcome his demons. The last battle was between him and a dragon. To the reader’s surprise, he lost the battle. The dragon represents Beowulf’s greatest demon. Despite the dragons that Beowulf faced that are external, my dragons are more internal.

In the book, the author tries to define the dragon and states that it was seen to look like a giant snake. He also explains how people saw dragons as sacred whereby it was seen as some type of guardian to the people and provided them with protection and natural needs like rain. The book also tells of people, who had negative beliefs against the dragons; these were mostly Christians who to some extent even fought with the dragons. The belief that dragons were strong and mighty was seen as true since people who defeated dragons, mostly armies, were remembered as very great men. The popular belief that dragons guard great treasures in their caves is seen in this novel whereby the author states that people in those days tried to enter dragon caves which were guarded by these dragons.

Unlike the Chinese or the Japanese dragon the Korean dragon will be a little aggressive, but it is still wise and promotes its land and all the dragons in Asia bring good luck according to the people who have been living there.As the dragons move north or east, they will lose a claw and if they move south or west, they will add a new claw to them self. One thing about these dragons is that some can be aggressive and people should have respect for the water dragons because they can destroy anything that will threaten them. In Asia people draw dragons as art and some of the dragon art represent something about them. If someone as a dragon tattoo, they should not mess with them because they will just cause trouble and they are not easy going people. Also the dragon became the most powerful symbol in the world because the dragon brings good luck and people used to draw of dragon in their flag or coat of arms.
